Okay, looks like not everyone knows about this, so I'm gunna try to get right to the point.

Apparently, someone put out some magic that's given some of you humans animals ears and tails and what not. Personally I think you guys look better that way. But now another dude thinks that A) an animal mage did it, which makes no sense, 'cause last I checked, animal changes can only do that stuff to themselves, and B) thinks the best solution to reverse what's going on by murdering all the animal mages.

Yeah. Solid logic there.

I'm trying to give a head's up here because not only have animal mages been attacked, but so does anyone who already looked like an animal, including yours truly. I've personally seen some of these money-hungry monsters go after kids, so, just to be clear, it's bad out there right now. So if you're an animal mage, or you've always had non-human traits, please be safe! Don't go out alone if you can, stay in groups!

I'm sure we can get this nonsense wrapped up as soon as possible, but until then, let's make sure no one messes with our mages!

The first curse I tossed was to give him nightmares! ... I'm not sure how long it'll last, since I'm still new at this part of my magic, but hopefully he won't be able to sleep for a while.

Don't mind them one bit. Being able to fly is awesome, but it is a fact that some locals think I'm a freak and that what I can do looks like animal magic. Doubt the black feathers help that view much.

Besides, think of it this way - the tournament was a way to show people your skills, and to learn what needs improvement! So once you're back on your feet, people know who to go to when they need someone with your amazing action!

I'm from Japan. Everyone assumes I dye it. But it is my natural hair colour, just. Everyone else unless theirs is dyed tends to have dark hair - brown or black.

It sounds like someone is really upset, but... why? The ritual wasn't necessarily malicious, was it? It's possible the casters didn't know how widespread it was going to be, or maybe they messed up.

I think most people would get overwhelmed by this kind of thing even if they enjoyed the limelight. Especially since they all want recipes, too.

I'm not really sure that sort of thing is for me, either. I honestly just enjoy cooking, there's no real want of gain from it. I never actually expected to win that particular contest.

It wasn't like the martial tournament where I was driven by my pride as a knight.

Yeah, well. It's how I grew up. Some members of my family have kinda unique hair colours.

[Depending on the animal they are linked with in the zodiac and all. So Kyo isn't the only one. But he's probably the one that reacts the worst to it, in getting into fights over the teasing.]

I'm better on it now at least. Not fighting so much.
