[ She eventually finished what mouthfulls she had, setting the dish back down and leaning into Anri's attentions with a gentle, content sigh. Her tail wagged a bit more lazily now, simply basking in the simple affection and feeling herself slowly melt against the other woman. ]

[Ah, so cute~! She continues to pat her head before petting that wagging tail.]

So what did you think of the pie?

It had a balanced sweetness... a perfectly buttery crust... [ Oh she was just butter, herself, under Anri's hands. It was hard to resist the instinct of just nuzzling herself against the other woman so she just... didn't. She didn't resist at all. Why not indulge a little? It was fine, she supposed. Just enjoying this new, bestial part of herself, rather than feeling ashamed of it... ]

[If she wanted to nuzzle that was fine. It was nice honestly, since arriving she hasn't been able to enjoy close contact like this. It made her miss her friends and family. Hands continued to pat pat.]

Mm, the apples weren't too tart I hope. They'd just finished ripening, so I was afraid they might not have been very sweet.

They aren't particularly sweet, but I think I like it better that way.

[ Her words were a murmur, lost in the sweet, sweet bliss of Anri's attentions. She really was like a puppy, in so many ways, even if she didn't particularly liked to be called as such... but like this? This was fine. This was... more than fine, even. This felt indulgent, but she adored it, and felt more relaxed than she had been in some time, just letting herself be given free affection. ]

A bit of sour or bitterness does help to balance out the flavors.

[She continues to pet for a moment longer. Before leaning down to grab a slice for herself, a hand still on Gareth's head. Letting the girl enjoy herself for as long as she wanted.]

[ She hadn't been... tired. Not really. At least not in a way that had been noticeable. But something about the warmth of Anri, the gentleness of her petting, and just the overall mood of the moment sapped away Gareth's propriety, leaving her leaning into the woman and feeling herself start to drift into a blissful rest.

Had she been needing something like this? She'd been in a lot of pain, physically, since the tournament. This sort of comfort really hadn't been something she'd expected, or even thought to seek out. But now that she had it, she could feel it sooth her so keenly, it just felt...

[It was certainly something that Anri herself hadn't been expecting. It was both cute and endearing for Gareth to be slowly drifting off from being pat. She took a small bite from the tarte, letting Gareth relax into her.

The other girl really did push herself harder than she knew at times. She hummed softly and soothingly. It would be a bit awkward probably, if the roommate came back, but for now, she did her best to make sure Gareth was comfy.]
