Hey there, friends! I have a little poem I wrote for you. Yes, you.

[Well, he actually wrote it for Merlin, but who's nitpicking? He reaches for a piece of paper he composed his masterpiece on, clears his throat, and recites:]

My magic is green,
But also dark,
After hearing my terrible poetry
Are you feeling a little spark?

... No? [There's a lingering grin on his face, before he screws up the paper and tosses it over his shoulder.] Oh well! I'll think of something catchier next time.

Anyway, now that I've got your attention, I just wanted to let everyone know that earlier last month, me and a couple of pals did a little exploring in the desert on the north side of the island. It was a long journey, but eventually we found what I can only call a huge whirlpool of sand.

I would have loved to have gotten closer to see what was causing it, but the sandstorms around it were way too strong. My guess has to be some powerful being hiding inside it, or maybe some strong magics were cast on the area to keep out intruders. For now, it's a dead end.

It did get me wondering, though: has anyone done any exploring of their own around the island? What did you find?

W-well! [ Okay, Minako, recover, recover! Sound smart. Think! ]

I was thinking along the same lines of the latter possibility you mentioned.. That it's trying to keep out intruders. I mean, if someone tried to hide something there, then it sounds like it's working perfectly, isn't it? It got you guys to back off from it for the moment.

[ She shakes her head. ]

I can't think of anything that'd cause that sort of thing to happen naturally. It must be on purpose.

[Her reaction almost earns a laugh out of him, but he mostly manages to stay composed besides a slight smirk.]

That was my thinking, too. If you have any free time, you're welcome to help me research it and see what info we can put together. Someone has to know something, or maybe there's a book out there I just haven't found yet.

[reloves]

[ .. books.

Minako's dreaded enemy.

On the other hand, when a cute guy is involved? Something to be considered a little bit more. But first the easier option. ]

I wonder if people here would know about it. You said it was quite a bit away from here, right? [ A long journey, even if Minako has no idea how long, considering how she's still relatively new. ] I can't imagine a lot of people from the city here going out to the desert often, of all places.

Still, I figure someone has to know something, especially any fae that are long-lived. It can't hurt to ask!

[reloves]

Are there that many long-lived fae around here in the first place?

[ Minako is still new enough to this entire place to not have a real idea of that. She'd assume they would live somewhere outside of town, rather than in Camelot, but.. where would they live then? She's not sure. ]

[leicesters]

Yeah, most fae have lifespans much longer than humans, so they'd have all kinds of knowledge. Whether they have the right kind of knowledge or if they're willing to share is another matter, but it can't hurt to dig.

[reloves]

Well, I'll see if I can find some around then!

[ Apparently finding them is a bigger concern to Minako than actually getting information out of them. Especially since-- ]

There's no way they wouldn't want to share all their information with a charming cute girl like me!

[leicesters]

You're exactly right! One little smile and their hearts will be in your hands.

[he'll pander to her ego a bit, why not]

And they give her a little motivation anyway. ]

Well, if I hear anything that sounds particularly important, I'll let you know! I won't forget a handsome guy's face that easily..!
