Ah, I know those kinds of books. There are some like that back home, too. Most of the ones I know are from those, admittedly.

To be honest, I thought it was a book intended to raise one's self confidence and help with your social skills. And it... certainly did, just not in the way I intended.

Depending on the target it could prove super effective... but also have some unintended side effects.

That it did. I rather wound up causing a lot of embarrassment to my friend... but eventually, she took it in stride. And ultimately, she was grateful I tried to help so much.
