Everyone else is SOL. ANYWAY, the picture moves away to show Chara with a serious look on their face.]

Okay so, I should have done this sooner just to be sure but like, whatever. I'm doing it now.

That picture? Is of my brother, Asriel. He's stupidly nice and kind and all that kind of stuff, but that's not the point of this.

[Deep breath.]

This is me telling the whole lot of you that if anyone does anything to hurt him? I'll ruin you.

[And then they're just going to go and turn off the video after saying that, because what else can they add to it? Nothing in their opinion.]

It was way more than just RESETTING, Asriel. There was nothing left.

[Just a void of nothingness, that's what Frisk wrought. But Chara isn't going to describe that to Asriel.]

( It's so strange that things ended up that way. That was what Frisk had been fighting to stop. After all, Asriel's goal was to erase the timeline completely. However, they can't make sense of why Frisk had wanted to do such a thing. For Asriel, they'd wanted to keep them there for as long as they could.

He'd been so desperate... and alone.

But, Frisk had people who loved them. Frisk... had a future. )

I... don't get it at all. When I was still a flower, I wanted to erase everything. But... Frisk did everything they could to stop me.

So... why...?

[Chara simply shrugs, they don't have an answer to Asriel's question because they aren't Frisk. They don't know why the other child would choose to do what they did, all they know is that they wanted to go back and thus made a deal with Chara to do that.]

All I can say is they're not the good person you think they are.

( Asriel looks disappointed, but more than that... he feels almost betrayed. They should have never RESET. Was the power to do go back that tempting? Surely, they should have known just how long the monsters had been waiting for the barrier to break.

He still wants to have faith that... humans are kind. That they can be trusted. At the same time, it feels like his belief is wavering some after hearing someone they considered a best friend did something so horrible.

But, is Asriel really much better? They'd done the same thing over and over again, and for no real reason other than they could. )

I... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have doubted you.

( But, they still don't want Chara to hurt anyone. Asriel... was the kind of person who didn't want to see anyone in any sort of pain. )

It's okay, you don't know how bad humans can be, so I can't blame you.

[Chara is going to move to, once again, put a hand on Asriel's shoulder. A small smile on their face, as if Asriel doubting them even a little wasn't a bad thing.]

That and like I said in my post, you're nice and kind, why wouldn't you try to see that in others? Even if they don't deserve it.

B-But, everyone deserve a chance.

( After all, that's what happened with Chara, wasn't it...? Even after knowing what humans had done, Asriel had wanted to help them when they had initially found them.

Asriel moves to bury his face against Chara's shoulder, sniffling. )

I'll... try to be more careful, too.

[Chara is just going to gently pat Asriel when he buries his face against their shoulder, trying to be as comforting as possible.]

That's all I can ask of you, I guess.

( He pulls away then. His eyes are a bit puffy from crying, but he's already starting to feel... not better, but more calm. At least, having Chara close by is always comforting. )

Maybe... maybe you could meet some of my friends here, too. ( That way, they don't have to worry so much. ) ... One of them isn't a monster, but... I thought they were when I first met them.

[Oh no, puffy eyes. Chara frowns a little at the suggestion of meeting Asriel's friends, honestly, if they had their way he'd only have them as a friend.]

I guess we could do that. I can make sure they're not bad people, even the not a monster.

( Asriel's made a lot of friends already, but Chara is forever #1. )

You don't have to worry, Chara! Anyone who's friends with a hero can't be a bad person.

( He did say he knew a super hero, so. )

[Sadly Chara has horrible self-worth so they'll never think of themselves as anyone's number 1.]

He could be a villain, you know! And lying to you.

[They huff, because no way does Asriel know someone who knows a hero.]

( Asriel will reassure them how important they are if he needs to! )

Golly, you think so? But, he really wants to help everyone. A-And, he wants to help me do that, too. Someone like that couldn't be a villain.

... I told Frisk when we said goodbye, that... there are a lot of Floweys out there. A lot of problems can't be resolved by being nice.

But... a lot of people deserve a chance, too. I... I think you'll see that too, when you meet the people I've met here.

[They almost say "I know" because of their deal with Frisk they were there when Asriel said those things, and other things, but they don't. They just huff.]

I'm willing to meet them, isn't that good enough?

Mmhm.

( Asriel nods his head. It's obvious now that they're feeling much better. The idea of Chara making new friends is really exciting! He really just wants what best for them, as selfish as he's been about Chara in the past.

But, they've talked a lot about this already, and now Asriel wants to do something else. )

Hey, Chara -- let's build a blanket fort!

[Hey as long as Asriel is feeling better? That's all that matters to Chara.

But they do slow blink and stare at their brother at the sudden subject change.]

Oh, uh... Sure? [They sound unsure, but mostly because they were taken off guard by suddenly blanket fort! But hey they are moving to go grab the blanket off their own bed so they can get started.]
