( It's Asriel's first time using the device to make a video-type post – so when he first appears on the network, it's a rather close picture of white-colored fur before he manages to zoom out. He can't help but fumble a bit with the phone, the picture shaking a bit before he realizes that it's zoomed out enough.

He's seated in his shared room at the inn. His sibling is out, so it's really just him. )

Oh! Here we go!

( He offers a tentative, but bight smile. )

Howdy, everyone! ( He uses a free hand to wave. )

Uhm.... I was wondering if anyone could help with something.

I really wanted to cheer up my sibling and grow a lot flowers for them for our room at the inn! B-But, I.... really don't want to use magic to do it. ( His expression falls for a moment before he smiles a bit once more, looking hopeful. )

Does anyone know how to take care of them...? I really want to help them live for a long time. Dad was always really good at gardening, but the flowers I want to grow might be different than the ones he grew...

Mm, it is! But, I haven't really tried to use ice magic yet.

Is magic at your home kind of the same, then...?

Well, a little? The Light magic, depending I guess on how you use it might be sort of like my Angel abilities back home. Sort of. And the Professor could heal us if we got hurt! So some of it is kind of like back home. But other things we definitely couldn't do. Or at least that I met anyone that could.

Angel abilities? Golly! Are... you an angel?

( That was something that definitely caught his interest just now. Wow. He's met knights, super heroes, and now he's meeting an angel? )

I am! Or was? Back home, anyway. I don't have my wings or anything here though.

[Because her Cruxis Crystal isn't working. For some reason, being here seems to negate those abilities tied to it. She's adjusting all the same, but it is taking time to fully do so, and take in what Kratos confided in her about the truth of the Chosen system. About her becoming a vessel for Martel.]

Woah...! I've... never really met an angel before... But, uhm -- there's a story in the Underground about an angel that was supposed to free all the monsters.

Does that mean that you can fly back at home?

An Angel that frees the monsters?

But ah, well. Only after I went on my Journey. When I managed the first of the seals and got my wings. I didn't always have them. But yes, I can fly with them back home!

Mmhm. Back at home-- monsters were trapped Underground for a really, really long time. There used to be a story that an angel would come someday and free everyone. ... Oh, that's what I am! I know I look pretty different from the monsters a lot of people are use to seeing.

That sounds real amazing! But then -- it sort of sounds like you weren't always an angel, too...

[It was obvious that Asriel isn't human but Colette hadn't considered that to mean he was a monster or anything. People came here from all sorts of different worlds, after all. Fenton and his friends from home were ducks. This isn't so strange, really.]

I wasn't always. I was human. And I guess I am at the moment, with my Cruxis Crystal not working to give me access to those Angelic abilities, my wings. But that's why I went on my Journey. Me becoming an Angel was supposed to help our Mana supply, so everyone could prosper and be happy again.

A really long time ago -- humans and monsters were at war. Humans won, and... ended up sealing all the monsters underground with a strong barrier. A-At least... that's the story we're all taught.

( Monsters were much weaker than humans were... They never really had a chance against humans. )

That sounds nice -- but... hard, too. I'm sure that everyone at home is happy knowing that you're trying your best to help everyone.

They sealed you all underground? Why? You couldn't live together above ground? Made peace after the war in figuring out things between you?

[Well. It was all probably before Asriel's time. The same way the war back home was for her. There's nothing she can do about all of that. Had no idea how much of what they had been told were lies, not until Kratos revealed more to her here.]

... When a human dies, a monster can absorb their SOUL and become really strong. ( His gaze becomes distant for a moment. ) Humans were scared of that. But... since humans are a lot stronger than monsters, we didn't really have a chance. B-But, don't worry -- all monsters really want is to live peacefully.

( He doesn't want to scare her. )

Absorb their soul....?

[She's. Well. Probably understandably kind of unsure on the implications there. Considering her own situation in being told the Chosen system was really to gradually remove her humanity, to prepare her body as a vessel for Martel.]

Ah, but. You were okay, right? None of the humans thought you would do something like that?

( Asriel's expression becomes distant then, green-colored eyes looking away. It happened so long ago, but... it's still something that's difficult to remember. )

Chara's... been gone for a really long time at home. W... We had a plan -- to go to the surface and try to free everyone. When the first part of it happened, and... Chara passed away, we went to the surface together. I absorbed their SOUL.

I didn't like the plan then -- but... I didn't want to doubt them. They're my best friend.

You were just doing what Chara wanted, right? As a way to keep them close? At least. That's what it sounds like.

I know for me, in my situation, I was....I was expected to sacrifice myself for the people of Sylvarant. So. if it would have helped, if it meant Lloyd would have had a better life. I think I can understand.

[If this is correct in Colette's assumptions where this ended up that way. She could be wrong.]

N... No... I wanted to free everyone, too. But... I didn't want to do it if it meant hurting someone else, in the end.

... I'm sorry. No one should have to sacrifice themselves to help others. But... you're okay, right? So... it sounds like it worked out okay.

I wouldn't want to either.

I'm okay! Things worked out in the end. Lloyd figured another way, he saved me so I didn't need to sacrifice myself. I just didn't quite remember that yet but Kratos told me.

That... That's really great. ( Asriel wishes that it could have been the same for himself and Chara -- but... he knows that there's no pointing in regretting what happened now. )

Lloyd... sounds like a really good friend. I'm glad he could help you.

He is. It's been strange being here without him but. I'll see him again.

[Here or back home. Either way. He would be with her again regardless if she sees him here or not.]

Gosh, well... If I got to see Chara here again, I'm sure you'll be able to see your friend again soon. I... think this world wants us to be happy.

I know I will. If I don't see Lloyd and the rest here, I will when I get back. So. It's alright. At least here, I'm making lots of new friends! Friends I wouldn't have met back home.
