( It's Asriel's first time using the device to make a video-type post – so when he first appears on the network, it's a rather close picture of white-colored fur before he manages to zoom out. He can't help but fumble a bit with the phone, the picture shaking a bit before he realizes that it's zoomed out enough.

He's seated in his shared room at the inn. His sibling is out, so it's really just him. )

Oh! Here we go!

( He offers a tentative, but bight smile. )

Howdy, everyone! ( He uses a free hand to wave. )

Uhm.... I was wondering if anyone could help with something.

I really wanted to cheer up my sibling and grow a lot flowers for them for our room at the inn! B-But, I.... really don't want to use magic to do it. ( His expression falls for a moment before he smiles a bit once more, looking hopeful. )

Does anyone know how to take care of them...? I really want to help them live for a long time. Dad was always really good at gardening, but the flowers I want to grow might be different than the ones he grew...

I'm not sure but it would have to depend on what the flowers are right? Wouldn't those flowers need special requirements to help them grow a long time?

But, every flower is different, right? It makes sense that they all need special care.

I heard that orchids or roses are really difficult to take care of so hopefully those aren't the kind of flowers you're thinking about!

I was thinking about trying something called--uhm... I-I think they're called sunflowers. Chara really likes golden-colored flowers, so I think this might be close to what they'd want to see.

You'll probably want to grow them from seeds. And you have to make sure that they get lots of water and sunshine.

Woah, really? But.. a lot of plants grew at home, and we didn't really have any sunlight.

Do you think flowers might be different in other worlds...?

But they do need light so maybe you had a different source?

We all lived underground back at home, so... we didn't really get any sunlight. But, Dad always somehow still managed to make them grow.

Someone else said that, too! But, uhm -- I didn't know that sunlight was so important to plants. Everyone lived underground, so we didn't really get to see a lot of sunlight.

( At the suggestion, he can't help but stop. )

Complicated? But ah. She has a flower shop and everything! So. She's definitely the one to go to, I think. It can't hurt to at least ask her if she's okay with giving you tips. But I'm sure she wouldn't mind! She's really nice!

I have Green Magic but back home, there wasn't enough Mana supply, at least in Sylvarant, so the plants and crops were dying. So it's pretty exciting for me. To be able to help them grow here.

Is Mana sort of like magic back at your home...? It sounds like you tried really hard to help out the plants there.

Klee knows how to do it! A really nice lady named Aerith taught me, so you can ask her, too.

[ Klee had made sure that she had a written list of steps and tips to make sure that the lily that Aerith gave her stayed healthy, and it's actually bloomed into something quite nice. with a bit of fumbling, she turns her phone around (instead of just changing to the outer camera, but it still works... somewhat) to show the blooming white lily in a pot by the windowstill in her room. ]

She gave me this flower, and I've been taking care of it. You have to water it every day, but not too much!

Gosh, that flower is really pretty!

( The only flowers that bloomed at home were golden ones... so, seeing one like that is new to him! )

Someone else said that Aerith knows a lot about them, too... Uhm, is it really okay to ask? She wouldn't mind?

I think so, too! It was little for a while, but it started to get bigger once I watered it and put it next to my window.

[ though she'd prefer something a little more red, a white lily is nice, too. maybe Aerith will give her another small flower once she's seen how well this one is getting along...! ]

Nuh-uh! Aerith is really nice - when I visited her, she gave me some apple juice and told me all about what kinds of flowers she liked. She knows more about flowers than anyone I've ever met! [ even Flora back in Mondstadt didn't know as much, and that's saying something! ...either that, or she just wouldn't answer Klee's questions because she thought she was going to set them on fire. ] I can even come with you, if you want!

A lot of people said that sunlight helps them grow, so... maybe that's why. B-But, I think that some flowers can grow without it, too.

( He really only saw golden-colored flowers at home, so it's neat to see different kinds here! )

Wow, really? She does sound really kind. Though, someone who likes to help make flowers grow... I don't think that they could be mean. ( At the offer, he stops for a moment. ) ... If you're really sure, then... that would be nice.

Different species of flower will have different demands when it comes to upkeep and propagation. I would advise investigating one of Camelot's libraries or hobby shops for instruction on the native species and what their unique needs may be.

are there shops just for things like gardening? i didn't know that

Indeed; specialty shops of a small variety can be found around the city if one is willing to seek them out. Doubtless you will encounter other green thumbs along the way.

If it is not too intrusive to ask: Why would you refuse to use magic to assist? Do you not have the appropriate sort?

Ochako can't help but giggle to herself a bit at the thought, and smiles back to the camera with a wave of her own. She's not at all bothered by his appearance, having seen her fair share of odd body shaped, anthropomorphic animals, and all kinds back home in her world. Quirk genetic just are a thing and body shapes, sizes, and mutations just...exist. It's a part of life, and Ochako treats this just the same.]

Hello there!! What sort of flowers are you trying to plant? I had a few back home in my room back at school I had planters for, but...they were sort of like cacti and succulents. Not actual flowers. But I can probably help a little bit. [Since Ochako does like flowers and all, and can take pretty decent care of them.]

( There's so many humans here that want to help. It's a little unexpected, but... really nice. His experience with older humans hasn't been so kind in the past. It's enough to help ease him out of what discomfort her felt before, but he still can't help but find himself be a little wary at times of ones he doesn't know too well.

He said it to one of his best friends himself, after all. There are a lot of people who aren't so kind in the world. )

[With time, Asriel may find that Ochako's among the few humans here that is pretty tolerant, and understanding, of a lot of various types. She's not all that much older than the little monster (she's sixteen), and his very small and fuzzy form doesn't even so much as make her batt an eye. It's so common in her world that she just doesn't even notice anymore, plus with her time here and everyone being from other worlds...it's just become a non-issue entirely.

Not all humans are good. But either are all humans bad, either. It's the same with monsters, too. People are people, no matter how to spin it. There will be all kinds...you just have to expect the good with the bad, and surround yourself with ones who can appreciate and love you., and can show a little kindness. Thankfully, Ochako has that in abundance.]

Oh, that's so nice to do for them!! You're a very good sibling...but you're right, each flower is different in how it grows and needs to be taken care of. Ehehe, did you know that some flowers actually have meaning? At least they do where I'm from, and there's a whole language dedicated to how people use and gift flowers to others and their symbolism.
