It has come to my attention that the poison used in Celliwig's trials this past moon were sourced from my store.

If you have suffered side-effects as a result of it then please notify me here or privately. I don't believe my alchemy to be so poor as to leave side-effects, but I would like to be certain.

And no, I was not aware the potion would be used for the trials when they were purchased. Let me be very clear on that before you all start pointing fingers.

The kind of potion that you made, why did you have something like it made in the first place?!

Are there any other side effects at all? That you didn't know of before? Someone I know- he was down for almost over an hour. And he was exhausted when he finally snapped out of it!

Hmm, I did experience some disorientation upon waking. I expect that is a natural result of having one's heart and other internal functions halted for a time.

As I told another, I made it because I was challenged to. 'Twas ultimately harmless as you can see. I WILL be restricting its sale from now on however.

Hydrating right afterwards seemed to help with that...

But I don't think it's a good idea to have something like that for sale at all... It could cause more harm than this in the wrong hands...!

Come to think of it, I wonder whether one could perform surgery on someone who has taken this brew. There may be less danger when nicking an artery.

I... I guess if you put it that way. But- I don't want to see something like this used again like the trial used it. It wasn't fair. It wasn't right.

Fine. I was planning to restrict its sale regardless.

I must needs research the effect of existing sedatives upon the body. It would be a shame for this concept to be condemned without further refinement.

As a sedative I can see it being good for medical procedures and things like that.

But what kind of research would you have to do to get it there?

I would need test subjects obviously. I used stray animals to test the current one which is why I wished to know how others felt upon taking it.

No! If there is that big of a risk then you shouldn't ask anyone to take it! If there is a risk then you shouldn't be refining this kind of potion at all!

Anti-venoms are often derived from the venom of the very creature they ward against. How many do you think perished before the ideal solution was found?

It's still not right to take innocent lives to find that solution...

If you need someone to finish this then I'll do it. That way there's no more risk to innocent creatures who don't have a choice.

Do your people not have rites or some manner of priest to ensure the dead's safe passage to the next life? Where I come from there is...a 'river', if you will, of aether which all souls rejoin when their physical bodies wither and die. From there they are reborn into a new life.

Ah... I mean, of course, we have our own traditions and rituals for when someone passes on. We have funeral rites to stay goodbye and ways to remember people. But I've never heard of resurrection being a real thing that can happen outside of media and fiction. Let alone something like a river of aether? Are you sure the same sort of thing can happen here? Even then, it seems too dangerous.

Obviously the laws of nature are different here. I would never be able to resurrect someone whose soul has joined the Lifestream ordinarily. I can - or rather, I could - pluck them out if they dive in inadvertently, but very few souls possess deep enough regrets to fight against its pull and remain in the physical world.

In this world however, one must call upon the witch Morganna and prepare a sacrifice to bring the dead back to life.

So pulling souls back from a lifestream. That kind of power. I don't know what to think of death being seen like that.

I think if you can avoid having to go through either method in the first place, that you should avoid it. Either stop researching the agent or... or I can still help.

Don't be mistaken - I cannot resurrect the dead. But occasionally there are fools who plunge in of their own accord, body and soul. Those idiots I can return to the world.

And you sound as though you are delivering an ultimatum, boy. Why should I care whether a few stray creatures die?
