Wow - [ a small haha ] things got so serious on here, huh. Well, I'm hoping to relieve a bit of tension here.

So, I'm only asking teeny, tiny questions. And, I mean, you don't have to answer both.

Since I've just started really having dreams of my own here, tell me about your weird, interesting, or funny dreams. I dreamed I turned into a cat and got to sleep all day - It felt so [ his voice lifts ] real!

Also - tell me a joke. Or share something funny you saw. I don't know a lot of jokes, personally. So I'm here to hear from you.

And last, I need a... hoodie. I think that's what they're called. A really big one! I have a nice cape but a hoodie sounds handy!

Maybe you could make it your job again? Help people interpret their dreams and... I don't know, partner with a shrink or something?

[Gokudera should really find someone to talk to about his trauma and moving past it. So maybe they can find a shrink or something to help this person help other people...]

[ And what has been proposed sounds like actual work. It's one thing to practice and use his abilities at will. It's one thing to turn it into a job he'd have to routinely perform. ]

Dream interpretation isn't really my expertise. What's a shrink?

Well, it doesn't sound too far off from what you're used to, right? The only difference is that you could get paid and buy some pretty comfortable hoodies and blankets and pillows... y'know, profit.

[Gokudera's an odd boy who can't not work. It feels too good to be improving himself in every way. So, ever restless, of course he'll think of actual work.]

A counselor, or therapist. Someone who helps people with their problems like... in moving past something?

Ah - that makes sense. In some ways, yes, in others no. It was never a job I was did for survival purposes. It was a -- well, duty? But, I'll consider it. I don't really like working, so I've been avoiding if possible. But at some point, I have to do something.

[ He still sounds fairly entertained by it. ]

I don't know how long my brother will tolerate me not doing anything at all, and I'd rather not test his mercy.

[ He's -- joking. But it's not completely clear in his tone. ]

A duty? Did you find any joy in it? Is there something else you'd like to do?

[Gokudera would help people, but then... he's got a knack for problem-solving. If allowed to take over, he probably would tell this guy what to do about everything while having no idea how to use cognitive magic, or anything about his job back on his home world.]

Who's your brother?

I did love it. But that doesn't make it any less a duty. I guess I'm lucky.

[ Charon would definitely be more interested in the commerce aspect of this place, Hypnos just knows how to get by well enough to make sure he eats sometimes. ]

Thanatos. Well, he's my twin - not identical, though. I'm the only one that looks like me.

It sounds like you are. [Anyone is to do what they love. There are others who would view a duty as more of a burden, so he understands the sentiment.]

Does he also have a duty like you?

Of course he does. He takes his a lot more seriously than I do, and he's not always people's favorite. But he is my favorite, so whatever they think doesn't matter.

[ But, he won't share what Than's duty is. Being Death is much different from sleep - so he figures that's best. ]

It's good that he has someone like you. But if it's a duty he has... and he takes it seriously, I think that's admirable. What is it?

It's his.

[ It's fast. He knows... Thanatos used to struggle with people not being a fan of him, and he'd rather not have something end up that way here. So - a non-answer. ]

[He doesn't appreciate that this guy isn't answering the question, but maybe it's not his question to answer. Gokudera supposes he can respect that.]
