Good day, everyone - I think I may not have spoken to many of you; my name is Linneus. Please excuse the open letter - I've grown used to some technology, over the years, but this network posting still feels awkward to me however I do it.

I have had a fair settling-in period - almost a month now. It is most assuredly never dull here...!

[a ringing understatement if ever there was one]

But I should like to move out of the Inn and to somewhere a little more permanent, perhaps, and would very much appreciate the advice of any of you who have done so.

Pertinent also to this is the securing of employment - I understand there is a board of tasks, but I fear my skills are not necessarily suited toward many of them, as I am not much a fighter...! I learned a little of modern medicine during my time in Tanagura, though my past experience is in service and my passion lies in gardening - I never imagined it might affect me so to see things truly growing again! - and in blending my own teas.

If any of these may be of use, please do let me know. I would be very interested in something that might fill my days, as it does not suit me well to sit idle for very long. I thank you in advance for your assistance.

Linneus! The Tenth, the baseball idiot, and I share a room in the Inn. I'm looking to move out as well. I have some people I can introduce you to. One that would be fond of your good looks, and another that is very focused on tea. What kind of magic do you have?

Really? I suppose it somewhat makes sense, given my companion...!

[gesturing about him, though his fairy is not actually visible. His surroundings are kept with the usual amount of care one would expect from Linneus with one tiny exception - draped over his usual floral arrangements, there are also tiny, intricate garlands of smaller wildflowers]

But we shall have to compare notes some time. I imagine there is still a lot to learn?

[and he fully understands he may have held himself back, by not necessarily believing he could have powers in the first place]

Your companion? You mean your familiar? The... fairy? pixie?

[Gokudera remembers he hadn't had a great relationship with the fae when he'd first arrived on Avalon, but after his time-travel nap, he seems much more at peace and amused by their mischievous ways.]

Oh, yes. That was the magic I had, but I've also got elemental magic. It's kind of similar to the flames I had back on Amoi, but... also not at all the same! I'd be happy to teach you more about light magic if you'll give me the opportunity.

I'd call her a fairy? By Ivore's standards, at least?

[and as Gokudera had suggested, she does kind of do her own thing - she isn't at Linneus' shoulder all the time (still perhaps more often than he realises), though he occasionally sees her light zipping about the room in the evening, and the garlands adorning his flower arrangements are always refreshed when he wakes in the morning.]

I would like that. I think it would be best to get to grips with one kind of magic before I start looking at another...!

I'm glad to meet another friend of Gokudera's.

As much sense as it can, I suppose...! It was all quite confusing in the first place, when we were on Amoi but... I don't know, I suppose I always thought one could only go once from one world to another? But now for me it has been twice, and for Gokudera three times.

But I am relieved he has friends here. And this is a much kinder world than Amoi.

It seems to be pretty flexible, how many worlds someone can go to. Although, I didn't really know it was possible until I came here.

[Time Travel, on the other hand, is somehow a more familiar concept.]

He's mentioned a few things about those other worlds...so I'm glad he's here to. I don't know what I would have done without him

Indeed - these things don't seem to be set in stone, though I wish they were. Some of us would only be helped by a written guide...!

Yes, he is that sort of person. I didn't meet him until I'd been on Amoi for a year, but I'm not sure I would have managed without him, either.

He must be really happy that you're here then. I'm glad...and it's good to know that he had a friend in those other worlds.

Or at least their names as I know them - there are some flowers that go by different names to those we use in Ivore, and I've come across ones I have never encountered previously. So I may be learning with you!
