[Archer has looked better, but this is a post he doesn't want to leave for later when he's looking better. Besides, it's not like he cares if he looks a bit like a truck ran over him.]

I should explain my side of what happened with Caster. I don't owe it to anyone, but I just feel like it's a good idea to bring some alternative perspective.

[Not that he likes explaining any aspect of his life to the public, but here he goes.]

Both Caster and I were part of what's called a Holy Grail War, summoned as heroic spirits from the past or the future. Her life was ended by me, after I betrayed her for my own goals and purposes. I had no reason to kill her Master, however, as he could have just continued on with his life after the war.

[There was always a but. Which was the reason for all of this mess.]

But I did. Not because I wanted to, but because he refused to stop fighting. He might have wanted to avenge Caster as the two of them were very close. I had no choice but to fight back. Had he just walked out, I would have left him be.

[He pauses for a moment, kind of looking like in pain because who knew getting stabbed hurt this much (he did, he's been there).]


I would argue that I am not the villain of this story, even if I am the cause of his death. I gave him a chance to leave and he did not take it. Besides... compared to everything Caster herself did during the war, it was really not that much.


[If anyone needs clarification on that, they can ask. He doesn't start explaining.]


Oh. Rin and I are opening a restaurant sometime this month, after I've properly healed. Just though I'd mention, in case anyone is interested in some good food.

Sounds like she has a lot of experience with them, I'll be looking forward to that. I think sushi's the only food I've eaten from that area and it was good. Not really sure if I've ever tasted anything else from there, but Asian sounds nice.

Well, I am originally from Japan, so that's what I grew up cooking. It's probably still what I cook the most.

No, it's fine. I don't mind talking about it but it's more than a bit complicated and one of the worst places ever, so I don't really talk about it much.

[Like people really don't need to hear about Titan Hell, it's literally one of the worst Hells around anywhere. Also she hasn't been there in so long but dinner for two -- after talking about that world, it's even more complicated feelings about how she'd love to say dinner for even more people than that but nope, it's just her and Jean here. Anyway, she kind of stopped calling that place home a long time ago even if it will be her home again whenever she and Jean have to return there someday. But all of these peaceful worlds feel much more like a home to her, especially these days considering her relationship with Jean.]

I can relate to complicated stories. They can be quite a pain to explain.
