[Archer has looked better, but this is a post he doesn't want to leave for later when he's looking better. Besides, it's not like he cares if he looks a bit like a truck ran over him.]

I should explain my side of what happened with Caster. I don't owe it to anyone, but I just feel like it's a good idea to bring some alternative perspective.

[Not that he likes explaining any aspect of his life to the public, but here he goes.]

Both Caster and I were part of what's called a Holy Grail War, summoned as heroic spirits from the past or the future. Her life was ended by me, after I betrayed her for my own goals and purposes. I had no reason to kill her Master, however, as he could have just continued on with his life after the war.

[There was always a but. Which was the reason for all of this mess.]

But I did. Not because I wanted to, but because he refused to stop fighting. He might have wanted to avenge Caster as the two of them were very close. I had no choice but to fight back. Had he just walked out, I would have left him be.

[He pauses for a moment, kind of looking like in pain because who knew getting stabbed hurt this much (he did, he's been there).]


I would argue that I am not the villain of this story, even if I am the cause of his death. I gave him a chance to leave and he did not take it. Besides... compared to everything Caster herself did during the war, it was really not that much.


[If anyone needs clarification on that, they can ask. He doesn't start explaining.]


Oh. Rin and I are opening a restaurant sometime this month, after I've properly healed. Just though I'd mention, in case anyone is interested in some good food.

I would have accepted your yelling, of course. I'm aware Caster has gained friends along the way. [Friends who would defend her.] Hopefully now that she had the chance to stab me, she'll calm down.

[Otherwise he got stabbed on purpose for nothing.]

You were worried. I'm sure she understands it as well. I don't know why you have to apologize to me though.

I'll apologize later to her. As for Caster...not sure if you remember the dream state thing, but that's when our bond formed. I don't know much beyond meeting her, not even getting into a fight with another Servant so...what exactly happened? What did she do?

[Though she could hazard a few guesses.]

That was when we got out secondary magics.

[He remembers mostly sleeping and nothing too weird happened. He was kind of lucky that way.]

One of the larger scale things was to feed on the magic of the people in the city we were in. Draining them dry of their life to power her own magic.

....please tell me she failed to kill the town. This is reminding me a bit too much of an asshole I killed who wanted to summon a demon.

[And kinda succeeded, before Homura and Asuka took care of things. Not something she wanted to repeat or see Caster do though.]

Fortunately, most of the people drained were left in a coma like state.

[She sighs, both out relief and frustration. Judgmental as she wanted to be...there was a lot to think about. Not just her, but herself.]

...better I guess. Least she didn't try the same thing here so....progress?
