There are a great number here not previously acquainted with magic, and so I am compelled to share some rather pertinent advice:

Please be aware that offerings of blood ought not be taken or given lightly. As surely as there are many fledgling casters dabbling in dealings with the substance here, there will likely be as many much keener to the art, be it here or their realm of origin.

Blood and names are some of the strongest components of the "self" in many magic disciplines; do be mindful of whom you are giving such precious and limited resources to.


Or don't. I can only offer my perspective; it is entirely up to you to decide whether or not it matters. Just be aware that some courses are harder to correct than others.

I'll be happier to hear more confirmation of such things than anything, I suppose. I take it I won't have to impress the importance of such careful decision-making in regard to other things like hair or fingernails and the like, yes?

Make note of those who do use such methods as well. For your own sake, naturally, but it could benefit others at-risk.

Such a callout could prompt those who misuse their newfound skills to perhaps reconsider what they're doing, perhaps. Public shaming isn't the be-all end-all curative to recklessness, but it's worth a shot all the same.

[Although public shaming hadn't been at the forefront of his mind when he'd thought of making public note of such incidents, thinking about it, he probably would have a little fun at the expense of whoever was stupid enough to try to put a spell like that on him.]

I daresay it will make it harder for them to carry on their little game without being caught.

And that weeds out the ones with a conscience from those who have no interest in serving the common goal, so more the better for the rest of us to know who to utterly ignore, yes.
