Video UN: GhostType

[Dolce looks every bit an elegant gothic lolita type, with fancy dress, silk top hat, bat accessories, skulls, lace, but everything done cute! Her video has relatively minimal change of voice and almost no inflection. It's not quite like a robot is reading it from a prompter, but definitely not a lot of emotion... or any apparent in tone or voice.]

Pico has been here before, so thank you to everyone who had the misfortune of dealing with her. She is quite a handful, and for obvious reasons, I've never seen what she's like when I wasn't there to calm her down, but I doubt it was great, so thank you.

For everyone else, I apologize in advance for your eardrums.

We have enrolled in classes at the school, so I wish to meet anyone else attending, to discuss whether it's been helpful at all, and perhaps to get an early start on catch-up work.

I worked as a pharmacist with a Doctor and nurse at their clinic before, but due to my unfamiliarity with this world's ingredients, I would be interested in doing an apprenticeship, should an experienced alchemist be looking to take anyone on.

[If there's one thing Dolce will notice... It's the fact that Emerald will be resting on Kotarou's head as she's poking at the camera lens. Kotarou has to lightly push his bird familiar away to get a good view of Dolce.]

I'm not sure how to explain how that works since I'm not a super ghost expert... But I don't think she's a bad girl at all. If the world didn't have more idiots to living things up, then it'd be a very depressing place.

She's not bad. Just a little bit of a poltergeist in her. [But there's a small smile!] I'm finding it difficult to be as hard on her as I normally would since she was here without me before, and that must have been already hard on her.

[She certainly seemed like a introvert from Kotarou's point of view. Kotarou himself was actually more introverted than he liked to let others believe. He's just managed to change himself to become more extroverted to people. Though he could certainly understand the feeling of not wanting to talk to anyone...]

I am for old time's sake! I wanna get the hang of using my Light magic as soon as I can. I heard that it's actually a pretty rare element.

[Hmmm...] Even though I've been going to classes, I haven't heard much about clubs there. Whenever I went to school, students would always find clubs to join and meet like-minded people to make friends.

Hey, hey! That's too gloomy! I was thinking of an "Occult Research Club". There's many truths hidden in this world, so I think a rag-tag group of people should give it their all to crack the world's shell.

I'm only really good at chemistry, not everything else though. Just pharmacology. Mm... but I used to make the medicines for the Doctor's clinic. [She knows she can't afford to downplay that too much since she does really want an apprenticeship etc!]

Okay. [DEFINITELY a smile at that, even with the hiding it!] Do you think there are many other mysteries to discover too?

Oh, definitely! An island as big as this has to be dripping to the brim with all kinds of mysteries to be discovered! I'm already getting excited just thinking about the possibilities!

[Kotarou couldn't help and don his signature confident grin. Starting a new Occult Club... He never thought that he'd get the chance.]

[Wait a minute. He does a mental backtrack.

[He just didn't expect her to be genuinely interested! The last time that he started an Occult Club... It didn't last very long. He made precious memories and unbreakable bonds, but still... Kotarou wished that it could've gone better. This was more of his self-deprecation talking than the club itself being bad.]

We might have to find more members, but this is definitely a good start.

3 is a perfect start. [Nods.] We can post flyers around the school.

I trust you're both settling in well?

Yes, I think so. [Holds up burnt gloves she has repaired, but not replaced yet.] Alchemy is very different from chemistry though.

Do you go to the school at all?

The little differences between my potion brewing from home and the same here are frustrating- hopefully it won't take you too long to become accustomed to them.

I did take a look but... I wanted to see what I could manage on my own first. How have you found the classes?

You too, huh? I could do without the explosions.

Slow. But maybe I'm too demanding.

Yes... well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had to deal with explosions when starting out.

Hopefully they'll speed up sooner rather than later. I'd hope the teachers would recognise when their students were getting bored.
