Hello everyone,
My name is Claire Redfield and I'm new around these parts. And that means it's time for the newbie to ask all these annoying questions. I've gotten the basic rundown of what's going on from some helpful people already, but since then I've had a few more crop up.
First of all, does anyone here know where we find work. I gathered that Camelot has it's own money, and I figure I can't just bum around in this hotel forever.
Second, when we've earned a few bucks, what are some of the good places to eat around here? And are there any sites that need to be seen? I know this isn't a tourist trip, but it feels like a waste to not.
Third, I guess I should clarify. This is actually Camelot? Like home of King Arthur, the Round Table, and all that jazz?
And finally, what's one thing you wish you knew when you first showed up here. Or one thing that you want to tell me about yourself.
Thanks!
Claire

Though not about the deer, that one I'm not really looking for answers for.

I'm newly arrived as well, but how are you faring?
no subject
How about yourself?

I'm fine, dear girl. Thank you for asking. Sadly this is not my--how do you Americans put it? First horse race? In any case, I've been lucky enough to be pulled into other worlds before. At least this one I have all my memories intact.

And I think you mean First Rodeo. Maybe.
Where are you from, if I might ask? Also, what's your name?

Oh, by the way, I currently work as a barista in a cafe at the city centre not far from the inn. They serve some of the best coffee and tea drinks and food in New Camelot. You can come over there if you want a cuppa or a croissant.
Oh, that Camelot. I actually learned about the reign of King Arthur from school, but that’s only limited to what I have learned from my world and I actually know Merlin more than King Arthur to be honest. But yes, it appears that we might be continuing where Arthur and his Knights have started, except with a more modern setting.
As for that one thing about me, I’m actually a wizard back home, so I have some grasp on magic, although it’s completely different from making things move with my mind here.

I'm pretty open to a lot of things. I did delivery work back home on weekends to make a bit of money between classes. But I have a pretty broad skillset, so I could make a lot of things work.
I'd love to come by. I'll check it out if you send me the address.
And hey, that is cool. Like King Arthur came back or something?
You're a wizard? That is not something I expected to hear. How is it different? I have no context, magic is new to me.
no subject
That sounds like fun, doing delivery runs between classes. I sometimes deliver food and drinks to the cafe’s customers for work. Whatever job you will take in New Camelot, I’m sure that you’ll able to earn some gold in the long run, gold is the main currency in Avalon.
Sure thing, I can give you the address right now. (Inserted in the text is the address of the cafe in question.)
Yeah, it sure is the case. The group I came with hasn’t found the King yet, but I am really surprised to learn that the legends are real in a different world, it is not that bad once you get to live here.
Back home, we primarily use wands and there are incantations that we use to cast spells. There is also wandless magic, but that is hard to control if one hasn’t gotten control of it yet.

Good to know. Hopefully it'll work out. wonder if I can get a motorcycle.
Got it, thank you!
And they haven't? Damn, I had a bunch of questions for him, and whoever brought us here.
Do you need a wand here? I haven't so far but I haven't done anything complex.

That’s not being completely truthful, is it?

It seems like it's a more modern version of the legend. Other than that, everything appears to follow the story.

I don't know what a King is but the city is named Camelot, so... maybe?
no subject
And you don't know what a King is? It's like the guy in charge. Ruler, head-honcho, the boss.
no subject
I see... the highest autority in my village is the academy's headmaster and only because he coordinates the knights of Skyloft and instructs new ones, we never used the term 'King' before. I suppose it's kind of the same, though?

And he had a table that was round for him and his knights. I think the story was that he did that so all the knights were equal. I'm a little unsure, those are just stories.
But we're in Camelot, so is it the same one?
no subject
I cannot say if this is the same place, since I lacked knowledge of the legend until now. This Camelot, however, is certainly real.
I hope someone can answer your question. I'm interested to see if it's the same.
