So, is there a reason for why I just got here and my phone is blowing up over a vote? What the hell even happened?
Who even votes over a war, anyways? I’m not the only one who thinks that’s bizarre, right? War just happens and everyone hates it.

Better that it's a vote than just dragging everyone into a war, though. Most of us aren't soldiers. [And frankly, the last thing Shinji wants to deal with is a war.]

It still seems a very strange thing to vote on, when nothing is explaining what any of this actually means.

Some other place doesn't wanna do something that our hosts want to do? That's about all I got, since the choices are 'work around 'em,' 'work with 'em' and 'fuck it, attack.'

[Yes... and no. First off, Nobunaga's never seen real peace. Secondly, he definitely doesn't think all leaders don't care, but there are some who don't, and in that event, wouldn't the soldiers themselves be undermined? Of course, as was the case with Imagawa Yoshimoto. Thirdly, of course things get achieved via war. Dead is dead. If the leaders don't care about their people, then killing them and putting someone who gives a fuck makes a difference? Nobunaga thinks. But he's trying to adjust to other people's thinking, or at least be open to understanding it. As for ghosts....? The fuck.]
Do you think King Arthur doesn't care? [That is a genuine question, not rhetorical.]
Are you a medium? [Ditto!]

[Which is vague, but Bailey means more in the "places that drag in people from all over the place and nobody has any idea how that happened" sense.]
It'd be real easy to pin the blame on all of us, huh? And makes it feel like you really have to vote even if it's not in your best interest.
