Yet with his make-up, very overdramatic, he thinks that makes up for the lacking background!

He sits shoulders squared, brushing his bangs past as he begins speaking with the most over the top speech.]

Hello, fellow faerie world subjects!

It is I, Aimono Jyushi, warrior of romance and chaos! The knight of revolution! I request your audience here today so I may share my gifts and in return, hopefully, have you share yours! My calling in this world, all worlds, my true purpose is music! Back in my rightful birthplace, my brethren and I had an alliance! For our voices and hearts to be heard! Visual kei...! My life's genuine reason for living!

Here, the music within my soul will not be silent! My heart urges for my song to be heard! For those who have the same calling, it would make me happy if we came together! While I was the vocalist of my band, I am able to play the guitar as well. And though my life is visual kei, my soul is swayed by all musical types.

I would like it very much if all of us could come together, to let ourselves be free and true, while we sing out to the people and break through the muddle of everyday life! Please, answer to me if this piques your interest!

Something Roccoco-esque! Baroque! Like such! Or as so! As a warrior of romance, this style is of the utmost importance!

[This is his daily wear so he's clearly Inspired...but also a poor teenager who can't afford any costumes and DIYing as he goes along. Renting space to practice and the gear is so expensive, he's got enough part-time jobs just to pay for that. Costumes come last but he'd be so happy with a nice costume.]

Your friend has wonderful taste! I bet she looks absolutely stunning! Victorian dresses were beautiful!

And yes, what did happen? Like grains of sand so did the tastes of men go down the hour glass! How trends make fools of us all. This is why I carve my own path.

we are all fashion design students at an arts high school in tokyo
or well. we were. we just graduated.. and now im here... ha......

are you familiar with dandies? such as oscar wilde? except oscar was fabulous, he's nothing like beau brummell
beau brummell was an influencer in regency england who became a fashion icon and is the grandfather of the modern men's suit. he redefined men's fashion virtually on reputation alone. a classic modern western suit is to beau brummell as a little black dress is to coco chanel.
but he's also the reason men stopped wearing bright colors, jewelry, frocks and lacy cravats. he was not born an aristocrat and could not afford these things but he wanted to be fashionable and rich so he started trends of wearing complicated yet understated suits in drab colors.....
he believed "to be truly elegant one must not be noticed" or something to that effect... so sad!! now so many men are afraid to dress nicely in clothes that make them happy, cuz theyre too self-conscious about standing out!! it's so sad. that mentality is so restrictive and it made its way around the whole world. and it all started with this one guy!!

Isn't the true villain in this story the fear of society's judgment?!

yes youre not wrong but he contributed to society's judgment because the standards he made up himself were so harshly critical and condescending of anyone who didn't meet his vision
he didn't want to trump the rich, he wanted to join them in their judgment, just not be judged by them himself. it was no more accessible to poor people than the frocks and cravats he did away with. it still took hours to get dressed and you needed a valet to help you put on these styles of suits!!

now menswear is much easier but there are still the echoes of this high-powered magnifying glass he viewed his life under.. it's not healthy..... men so afraid what other men will think that they refuse to stray away from a narrow definition of what's "appropriate style" for a guy to wear
everything muted..... men's fashion was so vibrant before

The tricky webs of society, of what is right and wrong, should be tossed away! Burned. [But then when he rethinks that, maybe webs isn't a good metaphor. That's a home for spiders after all.]

If not webs then a metal cage! One in which the key is your creativity, your true independence!

On the contrary, I have a family that I face in battle! While we are not romantically entangled, it is an enlightenment on the many kinds of family! When you dedicate your souls together in death and life, aren't you family then as well?
