1. what do you know about job interviews?
i didnt know you have to interview to get jobs. even if it's just at a restaurant!! regardless of whether the job itself involves talking to people at all!!? stupid
[ Guess who's been bombing interviews as a part-time busboy all over town. And who's only bothering to ask about proper employment beyond random quests, um, now, after several months of just getting by...? He must be getting tired of stealing hotchips from the cornerstore. ]
2. what do you know about going to school as a full-time student here?
i heard you can make a living like this
insight about going to school in other worlds could be useful too. i was homeschooled....

Well, we get paid to go to school. That seems to be the thing most people tell me to "lead with" when I first mentioned it near the end of the list. So I have moved it up to the first, as asked.

what have you learned about fire??
i can conjure it but i'm having trouble controlling it too....
i can't make water at all. earth is hard but i've moved rocks.
but i've gotten good at air magic.
well, decent enough. maybe not good. i know an airbender at home. but he's not here to help me..

She says the reason I struggle with fire is that I get distracted and can easily forget that a small spark can become a very big flame quite quickly. Fire requires the most attention to keep track of lest it gets out of hand.

i don't know about having the most ease with the element that matches your personality best, because for me i don't know what that'd have to do with air either but it gives me a lot to think about.....
i had fire magic at home naturally. more or less. i know that that's supposed to be my native element but fire is also tied with emotion and passion, and now here i can't conjure it if i'm too calm, but if i've conjured it, i can't calm down enough to control it, either.
so i'm having trouble....

some of my firebending forms work
there's a sacred form meant to be done by two people and i tried it with one of my friends who has fire magic and it worked but our flames were too strong after we did it and we lost control
[ And burnt down a tent. And abandoned the crime scene of their accidental arson. Ahem. ]
i think the principles are similar but i trained in firebending all my life, a lot has to do with philosophy too, it's not just physical

back home, i often trained from dawn to dusk
sometimes from the moment i got up until i went to bed. exhausted of course. i dont train like that anymore but.... there was a time when i used to.
but now it's not working out as well without a master to help me. on my own, im just overexerting myself like this trying, not like back then when my uncle was training me.

What a curious username, though! Why fireprince? I can figure out the fire part, but why prince?
