1. what do you know about job interviews?
i didnt know you have to interview to get jobs. even if it's just at a restaurant!! regardless of whether the job itself involves talking to people at all!!? stupid
[ Guess who's been bombing interviews as a part-time busboy all over town. And who's only bothering to ask about proper employment beyond random quests, um, now, after several months of just getting by...? He must be getting tired of stealing hotchips from the cornerstore. ]
2. what do you know about going to school as a full-time student here?
i heard you can make a living like this
insight about going to school in other worlds could be useful too. i was homeschooled....
[ But at least he's thinking in terms of solutions. ]

I hadn't looked into school yet. I wonder if the classes would be the same sort of thing as with Professor Sage back home or not. But then I also had classes with the church too, with being the Chosen and all. Learning the Angelic Language and about my Journey. What was expected of me. So I guess my education wasn't the most....normal?

i dont understand half of what you just said. church? chosen? angelic language?
i dont know anything about normal education either though
my sister went to our country´s most elite academy for girls where they taught military strategy and combat as well as history and stuff but i just had tutors who came to our home.... but i dont think they teach the same kind of thing here that they taught in the fire nation

But , well. Yes, there's a church back home for the Goddess Martel. My duty as the Chosen is that I'm supposed to become an Angel. To go on my Journey to travel to the different Seals, I had to know the Angelic Language so I learned with the people of the church.
I'm not sure what is 'normal'. I guess, something like numbers, reading and writing, history? That sort of thing? At least, that's what Professor Sage taught us. I wouldn't know about elite academies. Or, I mean, about military things. Iselia, the little town I'm from, we didn't have all that. That was more for the cities, the big schools.
What do you think they teach here? The new magic we have? I'm trying to practice, to get a better handle on it, but it's taking a little to get used to.

my world seems really different from most other people's..
i think those things are normal yeah
most fire nation schools taught music as well
my family was well-off when i was a child so i just had tutors come to my home.. what i know about school i know from hearsay
the schools here teach magic and culture and history of this place. language too. someone also mentioned they teach law!! thats useful

I guess I could see the benefits of tutors coming to you in you getting more one on one time with them to focus? But that does seem like it would also be a little lonely rather than being in class with friends.
It would be interesting to learn more about the history of this place and all though. I don't know much if anything on law, exactly. Only what wasn't allowed back home but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the same here?

[ Rude? He's not imagining the wings where they should be, to be fair... ]
yeah.... my sister was a child prodigy so she got to go to school but it was an all-girls school so i stayed home. she made lifelong friends there, though, you're right
same, i know very little about this place, im curious about learning the laws
like someone said hunting for sport is illegal here apparently. which is good. stuff like that.
no subject
There wasn't a boy's school you could go to?
But that makes sense. I think. I'd rather only hunt if I had to for food. I mean. Unless there was a problem with there being way too many animals or something that you had to do something about it. It just seems. Cruel, otherwise.

[ Get your brain off the bird thing, birdbrain. ]
our father thought it best i had one-on-one schooling at home..... my sister has a natural talent for everything.. she's always been smarter than me. it takes me more time and effort for anything.
hunting is necessary
but hunting for sport or status symbols is cruel

One on one tutoring would mean they could focus on you specifically though in what you might have trouble with, right? That's good! I mean. Not that you took more effort and time, but. Everyone learns things at their own pace.
I agree. It is cruel.

i kind of feel like i missed out now, though. all my friends here went to school in their worlds. i feel like i didn't get the... exposure... or something.
like father didnt send me to school because he didnt believe i could succeed at it. and now my own world is smaller for it......
[ He doesn't know why he's opening up like this. It's a whim. ]

i think i will
it's the best way to get better at my magic
and if i get better at my magic i'll get better at quests too
so even if i hate it, i can go for a little while, long enough to get good, and then quit and be better for having gone.... probably... right?? i mean there's no way it can make me worse at magic...!

the school focuses on magic, that's what i've heard
this seems to be the right path, i think.
