Sixth: Weapons Testing (Text; anon) - spoilers/blood magic/bees tw

[As promised to one of her other anonymous network contacts, Mukuro had been testing out how her magical-ammunition upgrade had worked with her magic. And, well, it had certainly proved an interesting experience.

Time to report her findings and gather more information. It was a risk to reveal her own magic types, but given how little she used them, hopefully that would be enough to keep her undercover operation in tact.]

28 APR XX, 2121

I have been conducting research into the magical reload functionality offered by the Elphame Traders. It would be useful to hear other people's observations/experiences so that we can pool knowledge for future combat operations, if required.

I can't afford to put a name to this post as I am currently working undercover, but I hope revealing my own findings first will count for something.

Tests so far have been carried out with a Pistol, Semiautomatic, 9mm.

Animal magic has proved ineffective for combat use save for niche circumstances- streams of angry insects are prone to behave erratically and are hazardous to the user in question.

Blood magic bullets have properties close to that of real bullets, however not sustainable for extended missions- lightheadedness occurs after 2nd reload.

I want to understand:
1) If someone has a weapon with this enchantment, can it be used by others?
2) Have people with the same magic types as me found similar effects? And, relatedly, what effects have people with other magic types found?
3) Does weapon type/calibre make a difference to the effect?

Unrelatedly- has anyone figured out if the fruit from the plants we found at the solstice is safe for consumption?

My mission? I think I have a balance now, but it still seems as if this side of me gets in the way of performing my operation properly.

[If she was given the chance to suppress that side of her, would she take it? There was magic in this world, so...]

[That "I trust you" is somehow endearing, even though knife anon is just affirming what he said... the rest, though, leaves him only halfway satisfied.]

That's good-ish to hear, I guess. I still don't get why you're so insistent on keeping your mission going with the objective out of reach, but ultimately you've got to make these decisions for yourself.

[Stubborn as he got about it during their last discussion - mainly because he was getting the impression that her commander wasn't the greatest and the situation was rubbing him the wrong way - he can't afford to stick his neck too deeply into other people's business either.]

Do you have any support here? Other soldiers, friends, advisors?

More used to taking orders than deciding things for myself.

And I don't want to let my Commander down.

I have one person in mind who might know about enchanted blades. I'm guessing from your message you already have your sword here?

[He manages to suppress the urge to question and criticise her commander again. He went pretty hard on that topic the last time, but this soldier clearly is very attached to her leader, so he'll save them both another argument this round, all the more because the part about people looking out for her is reassuring. He can only hope that they're good eggs!]

I'll keep that in mind. So far the quests haven't been too bad, I've worked with good people.

His name's Darin- he's a blacksmith. You might've seen him around by now.

I'll let you know how we get on. It we can figure out how to enchant/enhance my sword, then it'll surely work for your knife as well.
