We're not part of his army, unless he plans to conscript the unwilling, but then I think he really would lose the goodwill of us otherworlders. He needs to keep our support as much as we need him, hence the city putting on a good little charm offensive to keep us happy and catered for.

So no, I doubt they'd drag the unwilling into it. But if conflict takes over the entire island, we might not have a choice in the matter -- that's just how war goes.
