I need it to stop displaying people's names with these garbled words instead of their real names.

Yeah, but overnight she wouldn't have slept somewhere else or traveled that far away without telling me first.

[ Yoon's ears perk up as if someone else started speaking, but no third voice manifests. He stares over at his phone, which has been broadcasting his conversation. ]

Ah!! It's working again! Maybe now it's ready to work for me. Alright you weird thing, you phone, help me find Yona -- and no weird names this time!!

And anonymity means "the condition of being anonymous", or otherwise unknown. Some people don't like everyone and their mother knowing their real name on the internet.

How do you know the words are not their names? There are many words here that do not have meaning, so there are equally likely names that will sound alien to you.

I do know a little bit about using my voice to contact people, but that wasn't working. Shiro and Deku helped me figure it out, so maybe I missed something from their explanations.

They're the reason I know it's not their real names - when I talk to Shiro, it's not his name that comes up, but when I talk to Deku it is, so I figure it must be on a person by person basis that something is messed up with my phone.

More likely on a person by person basis whether or not they deliberately entered something intended to be deliberately obfuscating. There should be some standard practise required for these things, but I am beginning to no longer be surprised at how poorly organised things turn out to be in this place.

Plenty of people seem to really know how to use this naturally! Like they've used them before. I'm just not one of them.

Probably because they have. Many have never seen technology at all or must adapt to doing a familiar thing in a different way.

It is not a steep learning curve. There is no real penalty if one does not learn quickly, other than the inconvenience perhaps.

Seeing things like this makes me think no one around here really wants to sit down and learn a damn thing before picking up their communicator. You've never been on a chat line before? Serious question since I guess some people around here really haven't. I'm just gauging how hard I'm going to judge you.

Now why would you need another teacher if you have so many other great teachers? Ones that didn't teach you something as simple as communicator or chatline. A communicator is what you're talking on right now. You're communicating on it. The chat line is mostly this, a way to chat on your communicator. It's a network of people identified by those garbled words.

They're great teachers! Nobody becomes an expert on something brand new in a matter of minutes, no matter how great their teacher is! This stuff is brand new to me - we never talked like this where I come from. Most people can't even write their own name!

So don't underestimate me just because I'm still learning.
