VIDEO; UN: SMOKING_BOMB

[Gokudera is swimming about in the water, hasn't used the spell to breathe in it yet, because he's too startled by whatever the hell is following him. It's large, long necked, with a python-shaped face, strange webbed ears that somewhat resemble axolotl gills, and flippers that look sort of like river otter paws. Upon first glance, it could just be a giant salamander, or maybe you think it's an oversized river otter, or a mutant crocodile. It is seemingly stalking the poor teen, and he's trying to capture it on video or get a good picture of it.

Honestly, it's just playing with him and he doesn't understand it. So, here's a post going up on AOL.

There are two pictures posted on the network, accompanied by the sound of some heavy breathing and water splashing.

There's no shot initially of who is recording this video, but there is a sense of excitement in the air.]

Has anyone seen the strange monster living in the lake we all arrived in? It wont stop following me and I can't get a good picture of it!

I'm pretty sure my glasses are in there somewhere...

I did see it too right now, but I was pretty busy during the mission the Lady of the Lake gave to us a while back. That thing is as huge as the dragons I once saw at home.

And what happened to your glasses? Did you dropped them in the water when we first arrived here? Or did someone nick it behind your back?

I didn't think it was that big when I was close to it...

[Maybe it is that big, or maybe it looks bigger the further he gets?]

They were in my shirt pocket before I got them. They're probably in the lake somewhere. Who the hell steals reading glasses?!

I was probably a little far away when I first saw the thing during the item search in the lake. Maybe who knows?

Well, let’s hope that someone can find them and return them back to you soon. I still had my glasses on with me when I arrived and during that mission.

The thing is... I don't think it's in here all the time. I keep seeing the damned thing out of the corner of my eye! It's purposefully letting people see it, and then it just hides!

[He turns away from the camera to shout over the water]

HELP ME FIND MY GLASSES, YOU STUPID OGOPOGO WANNABE!!!!

[And he's met with silence. Not even a fish or waterfowl moving on the water or making a response.]

Yeah, until then, I'm just going to have to... I don't know, hope I can find it while this spell is taking effect.

Maybe that thing likes to befriend people or it just enjoy messing with people for the thrills?

[He does not sound as if he's calmed down in the slightest.]

Well, as in avoid getting eaten by our mystery lake monster. We never know if something either wants to say hi or wants to eat us. I think that monster ignored me for some reason, maybe I wasn’t that appetizing for its stomach.

(Now to be fair, Harry doesn’t have animal magic as his default magic here, so he couldn’t read its mind. Then that megalodon is slowly creeping in on Gokudera’s back, and Harry’s jaws drop in shock.)

Hey, is that monster of the lake behind you?!? I think it’s right behind you!!!

Everything I've ever learned about Nessi doesn't say anything about it attacking people. If this Ogopogo thing is anything like it, and by the photo's the neck and head are around the same width, it probably just eats fish.

[He seems unamused. This is the second person the network that's tried to get him to turn his attention over his shoulder. He's not falling for it again. His Ogopogo-familiar could be super obvious and be wearing a top-hat behind him for all he knows. Gokudera shakes his head.]

As if I'd fall for something like th-

[And he's being tugged under by something, and the camera could capture something, but it's too murky to see through the water.]

[The feed hasn't cut off, it's just that the device is sinking to the bottom of the lake.]

[Takao did not see the monster in the lake but he feels like he has seen it before, except, it is more like he saw a flash out of the corner of his eye when they were in the woods and he is not remembering exactly.]

I feel like I've seen it before, but I'm not sure and it wasn't at the lake.

When you saw it, if it wasn't in the lake, how did it move?

[He's sure he and Takao saw the same thing. This strange lake monster followed him on land... maybe it just lives in the lake and goes on its own adventures -following Gokudera around- during the day. It moved like a great heavy reptile would... if this is the same thing that'd been stalking him in the woods.]

Kind of like it was floating, I thought the woods were just playing tricks on me.

[From the sounds of it to Takao, the creature is only following Gokudera because when he thinks on it, he did not see it before or after he was around the other.]

I think...wait, wait it's behind you right now!

[Okay, that is a little panic-inducing, even if it does not appear n early as large as it did in the pictures.]

Maybe they were. You were stuck in there for a while.

[Gokudera doesn't know that the creature has mostly shown up around him. Maybe because he's so eager to find it, and the creature views him as some kind of threat? He's not certain, then blinks at his device before looking over his shoulder. There's definitely a swell of water behind him, and he swims towards it.

But there's nothing there.]

Probably because I've always been interested in things like that! I'm a mystery hunter! If it were bigfoot following me around, I'd keep seeing it because I'd be looking for it! For all we know, that's what it could be!

No! It's the fact that they're mysterious that makes them so interesting! I'm hunting to learn more about them. It's a hunt for knowledge about cryptozoology in particular that I find fascinating. [He shakes his head vigorously]

Right. I would go looking for them, but some are more mythical than others. I like to explore evidence of them.

Maybe? I'm not sure how you can tell if something is lucky or not... and I am a little superstitious.

I guess stuff like rabbit's feet and that, if it's like that maybe it's lucky, creatures could be too right? Being a little superstitious is one thing, I am looking for anything lucky before he gets too out of whack without his horoscopes and lucky items.

Lucky animals would be pigs, crickets, rabbit, but it depends on the kind of luck, I think. There are some that are more lucky when it comes to financial gain, others for fertility, some for health... things like that.

Yeah, I should have guessed it would be complicated, I was hoping I could get someone with animal magic to talk some animal who is considered lucky to hang out with the guy or maybe get a familiar that is better luck than a night sparrow so mine doesn't hide when he's around. This place doesn't seem to have anything I'm familiar with as being lucky. Maybe if you see something, let me know?

Sure. In the meantime, look out for anyone with animal magic and they might be able to help you? Maybe the native people of this world know a bit more about what creatures are lucky here.

I've never had the ability to speak with animals, so I couldn't have forgotten something I never had.

Now that I have this ability I felt it would be more beneficial if we talked to each other rather than having him attack me. I happen to also really like animals.
