Hey, everyone! My name is Della Duck!
... And yes, I am a duck, where I'm from the majority of us are birds, we're the same as you, blah blah blah let's skip past that. Boy, that's getting old.
So! I've done this whole world-saving, dimension-hopping, monster-fighting thing pretty much all my life. I love finding out about different places, and in a place like this, where everyone is from a different place? It's so much fun learning about everyone and everything!
With that, for anyone else who'd like to learn about each other and other worlds, I thought I'd try an ice breaker from my world - Two Truths And A Lie! It's simple - You say three facts about yourself, and people guess which one is the lie. I know ya'll can cheat and look at other people replying for the answers, but, c'mon guys, let's be cool. Go as many rounds as you want!
I'll start us off!
One : I'm the mother of triplet boys.
Two : I once did an internship with a sorceress.
Three : I'm an ace pilot!
Your turn!
[ ooc: threadhopping/jacking is allowed and encouraged! ]

[ You ever realize something was awkward only after you hit send? Oops, too late. Well, no one can see his face, so it's fine. ]
Is everyone where you come from birds? There aren't species like dragons, fairies, or spirits?
no subject
Something he'd have to look into later. ]
Well there are different kinds of bird people. But there are also bears and canines and rodents. And I'm sure there are also dragons and fairies and spirits, although Della would probably have more expertise in that field than I would.

It sounds a bit like my world. Some of my friends were birds, but I had wolves and bears traveling with me too.
What is your field of science, then?
no subject
I specialize in mechanical and electrical engineering, though I'm familiar with several different fields.

Wow, isn't that a hard field? There wasn't much technology in my country, but it was finicky to operate. I can't imagine the kind of work that goes into just designing it.

It can be, but that's part of what makes it exciting! There's nothing more fulfilling than trying and testing out theories and inventions, and finally succeeding!

If you enjoy the process, I guess that does make it worth it.

[ He hadn't really thought about what would happen if or when they went home. As much as he missed home...he isn't sure he's quite ready to go back just yet. ]
I wouldn't mind being here for a while, I think. Getting to experience new things.
