Those of you with familiars, I have a question - how do you name them? Did it give you any trouble?
What happens if they don't like it?

It doesn't feel like naming a pet, or some future family member. Waiting for inspiration to strike hasn't worked yet.
And now I'm starting to feel like I have to give this phone a name, too.

I don't know exactly what you mean, but my friend tells me crossing the ocean isn't any easier than the sky. She must have been really brave.
Probably a good role model for situations like ours.

The planes move the stuff with engines and that's good enough! They're big and powerful and beautiful and never need fish!

It's hard to imagine. I guess even the sky is different if you travel far enough.

I was really surprised the first time we went to the past and saw the ocean. I think it's just hard to picture things any different from what you grew up with before you start world-hopping like that.

A few times. It was one of the powers the friend I mentioned earlier had.

I'd be careful with that. Where I'm from, it's one of the big no-nos. One wrong move, and you wind up with a dystopian nightmare.
