Different colours can symbolise different feelings and ideas. White is a colour that often gets associated with purity and innocence, whereas colours like red and oranges can sometimes be thought of as passionate. I'm sure just like plants that these meanings differ from world to world, so what they mean in your world might be different. There's really no one way to describe them.

[She settles her chin into the palm of her hand as she watches him.] The difference between purple and white larkspurs does come down to different meanings. Purple would be more for a romantic kind of love. Or, at least, it could be interpreted as such, which is why I didn't suggest that one.
