[ A video comes on and it awkwardly shakes for a moment before he seems to figure out how to steady it and ask a question. It seems to be dark outside, and behind him is only trees. He seems fairly comfortable by a fire out here. His face has a bit of dirt and mud on it, and there's a couple of grass stains on his forehead. How long has he been out here? Hard to say. He likes it. ]
Have question!
[ And, here he goes. ]
Want to know everyone favorite place to eat.
[ He considers - ]
Want to buy good food for friends. Not hunt or fish.
[ And then - he adds quickly. ]
Thank you!

Why don't you make something for them?

Not good at cooking lots. Best at meat and hashbrown.
[ Video seems to snap at a a picture of paw-shaped hashbrown. They look pretty decent. ]
Getting food for friends. Special.

[ Okay, and then. ]
Like fresh bread. When warm is best, too. Didn't eat sweets before. Haven't tried yet. Favorite?

I haven't been here long enough to know all the good eateries, but what sort of food do you and your friends like?

Dear Stranger,
I hope this message finds you well. I have thought upon your question and wish to provide an answer, should you be amenable to it.
There is a little shop on the street corner near the Red Springs. It is difficult to miss; you can recognize it by the wood-carved owl sign in the window. I have visited it myself many a time, as their baked goods are as lovely as their displays.
I find myself very surprised by the abundance and low cost of sugar available in this land. I truly think that sharing such a treat with a friend would be a delightful experience.
I pray that this information is a boon to you. May the day treat you well!
Yours respectfully,
Rinea of Rigel

This is a very kind thing you're doing for your friends! I think a good place to start is thinking about what you know they like! Maybe something that brings good memories for you and your friends!

Always eat meat with them. Friends like lots of things.

Sougo assumes Razor is innocent enough to fall for it--if not, well, Sougo welcomes the challenge. Razor looks pretty feral, even more so than Sougo and the rest of the Shinsengumi did when they were mere country bumpkins.]
I don't have a favorite place to eat yet, but I know a good way to make food special for friends. My sister taught it to me.

I see you're taking care to try out the many establishments in the area! There was a tavern I found that sells the most delicious apple pie...

Barbecue~ Always the best option. Poptarts are good, but not really a "take your friends out to eat" thing. They've got to have those here...

It depends on what you're looking for.
If you're looking for raw ingredients I like the Gorgana Butcher for meat, they have easy to cook sausages, and they sell some pre-cooked stuff too like pulled pork barbecue. There are some nice stalls with fresh fruits and vegetables in the markets. Alice Rayne has the best vegetables, especially carrots.
If you're looking for savoury breads there is the North Wind Bakery near the northern edge of the market. I suggest their herb breads. They have fresh bread every half hour, but you may have to wait a little to get some. For sweets there is a nice cafe called Pixie's Laughter. You can get a discount if you tell a joke that makes the Pixie owner laugh. The owner, they like the jokes that people from other worlds tell a lot, so you and your friends have a good chance of getting the discount. I haven't really tried any other cafes, but I know I liked the sweets. [ Likes them enough that she goes there once a week despite pinching her pennies so hard they would wail in pain if they could. ]
If you're looking for complete meals Kendall's Kitchen is a place I have been to a couple of times. [ Too expensive for her to justify most of the time, like most full meals, but one of the people she does odd jobs for has treated her there a few times. ] The full meals allow you to choose what you want for sides, too, so your friends will be able to choose the specifics of the meals to suit their tastes.

All good. Can take lots of ideas! Hunt my own meat. Don't know any jokes. Maybe should learn some.
