good afternoon to everyone! ┌(＾＾)┘ i have a few simple question points i'd like to discuss today. this current home base is much more familiar territory to me compared to my previous kidnaping destination, but! I REFUSE TO FALL INTO THE DEPTHS OF COMPLACENCY!

i notice there are quite a few fellow japanese here, some who are much more culturally acquainted to their roots than i. so i'd like to continue my studies and ask about the following:

- japanese vending machines. i've heard the most audacious things can be found within their cheap plexiglass walls! (;;;*_*)

- japanese baths!! i would LOVE to hear more about this. does the communal experience serve the purpose of bonding with one another? would you say that this could be a family activity?

- have you ever been to karaoke? (´• ω •`)ﾉ please tell me about the experience! (is there a karaoke bar here? one should be made if not!)

- the rapid transit system. have you ever used it? how often? how does it truly feel to be cramped in such a confined space?

- how would you describe the taste of taiyaki? the texture? are the ingredients required to make it available here?

any and all information is appreciated. and if it's possible to recreate any of the above here, i'm set on making it a reality!

i'm truly surprised that a vending machine can keep a hot beverage at an optimal temperature. they're certainly versatile machines!

i have indeed heard of an onsen. i've been to a spa that is somewhat similar, but there wasn't any communal bathing involved...and that's the key component i'm after!

a tambourine?? i didn't realize there was also a live instrument aspect to karaoke! are other instruments allowed? can an entire cover band be allowed into the karaoke booth? i was under the impression they weren't so large!

sometimes the hot drinks aren't very warm. if the machine was just restocked. but it's nice on a cold day.

mmm... karaoke has tambourines and sometimes maracas. they're usually in the rooms before you get there. but they're loud.

I don't think you can play other instruments there. since there's already music.

but nobody says anything when I bring my guitar after band practice. as long as it's in its case, it's fine... maybe

interesting. so are those more for keeping rhythm and merrymaking? not really meant to be part of a musical ensemble? it makes sense if the song is already playing.

and you're in a band! truly an expert on the subject! is the karaoke booth where you practice your vocals? that's actually quite useful to have them around for cases like that!

mm. it's just for fun.

we rented a studio back home. I practiced the guitar there more than singing

but I couldn't practice at my apartment, so I went to karaoke sometimes with my bandmates after practice for fun.

it's nice. to sing whatever you want as loud as you want. it's fun to sing with friends.

a truly serious band, then! you could really shake up the music scene here with your modern instruments. the bard style of fairytales is romantic, but an update would be nice. did they let you bring your guitar with you here?

and i'm VERY GLAD my assumed experience about karaoke was correct. a loud room full of friends, singing to your hearts content...a truly freeing moment ❤

yeah. we played at the valentines concert last week. and we all have our instruments except for our drummer

but he bought a special drumset here. my boyfriend works at the music shop and found one for him
