good afternoon to everyone! ┌(＾＾)┘ i have a few simple question points i'd like to discuss today. this current home base is much more familiar territory to me compared to my previous kidnaping destination, but! I REFUSE TO FALL INTO THE DEPTHS OF COMPLACENCY!

i notice there are quite a few fellow japanese here, some who are much more culturally acquainted to their roots than i. so i'd like to continue my studies and ask about the following:

- japanese vending machines. i've heard the most audacious things can be found within their cheap plexiglass walls! (;;;*_*)

- japanese baths!! i would LOVE to hear more about this. does the communal experience serve the purpose of bonding with one another? would you say that this could be a family activity?

- have you ever been to karaoke? (´• ω •`)ﾉ please tell me about the experience! (is there a karaoke bar here? one should be made if not!)

- the rapid transit system. have you ever used it? how often? how does it truly feel to be cramped in such a confined space?

- how would you describe the taste of taiyaki? the texture? are the ingredients required to make it available here?

any and all information is appreciated. and if it's possible to recreate any of the above here, i'm set on making it a reality!

The rapid transit system is just like any other subway system? I wouldn't think it's anything special as it's very similar to what I heard about any other quick transportation in different countries.

This is coming from someone who has to use it almost everyday.

i've yet to have experienced any rapid transit system, actually! but i did hear it was potentially unique. that's a disappointment. i'd still choose the japanese transit system to be my first, just as the baseline for comparrison!

having ridden it so frequently, what would you describe the experience as in general?

Wait, you never been on a subway before? I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

It's not bad but it's just always crowded during certain times of the day. During those times, it makes it feel like everything is rushed and there's no privacy. But when it's more relaxed, it makes the day seem to pass by a lot better.

It's really not that different from riding a bus.

i've learned that it's perhaps better to consider it an indifferent thing. but gaining the experience itself will be a net positive! (i've also not taken a bus)

i've heard of the crowding. i can see how that could be a pain, physically and from mental strain. i WAS previously on a slower train, more old-fashioned in nature and i assume the experience is much different. certainly not as crowded.

oh! the scenery! is there anything to see? it was quite fun to look out the train windows at the otherworldly scenery.

You've never taken a bus either? Then how do you get to places? I'm guessing you own a car or a bike because that's impossible to never ride on one before.

[And not even a school bus??]

But the scenery does depend on where you live. I know back home, there was always a view of the ocean along with the high school. Sometimes when I go back to the dorms really late, I look out at the water just the sunsets. I don't know how to describe it but it's really nice.

It's making me nostalgic for my home thinking about it.

i've got several drivers. any far off travel, we have jets set aside for that.

i have a fantasy of traveling on a subway down the shoreline, getting to see the ocean up close and at a reasonable speed. i HAVE experienced the beach, of course, but there's something much more romantic and picturesque about gazing from a distance. it's actually quite nice that you have a dorm so close to the shoreline! even ouran can't make that kind of claim!

Several drivers? Jets? You're not rich too, are you?

[Because if there's anything he knows from Mitsuru, only the super wealthy people go on jets!]

But I'm assuming Ouran is your school? I know Gekkoukan High is a pretty infamous school but it must be something else if it was able to beat another famous high school!

[Or at least, that's what Ken thinks if this mysterious person was able to go to another rich school himself.]
