[ As is becoming customary for videos from Stella, the first thing anyone sees of her post is Stella herself, against the backdrop of her hotel room. Going by the slightly shaky footage and the angle of the camera, she’s carrying her phone around as she records, which gives the whole thing some pretty big con vlog energy. ]

You guuuuuyyyssss! I’ve got the best news! The best, the best, the best!

[ She’s about ten times more amped up than usual, which is… a sight to see. She’s bouncing around a bit, which makes it hard to see what’s going on around her, but what immediately stands out is that the usual ocean of pink that makes up her digs at the inn has been broken up in places by splashes of purple; a comforter tossed across Stella’s bed, some stray pillows and spare bedding here and there. The reason for this becomes apparent when Stella swings her phone around and rounds on a startled looking girl who’d been among the new arrivals. Stella stops bouncing around long enough to glom onto her, so the two of them take up most of the screen, with Stella looking a great deal happier about this than the other girl does. ]

Violet’s heeeeere! Ohmigod, I seriously can’t believe it! Vi, Vi, say hi to everybody!

[ Violet has a very deer in headlights expression, right now. She almost seems to shrink in on herself. ]

...Um. H-Hello? [ It's not the most enthusiastic of greetings. Especially not compared to Stella's cheer. Then, more as an aside to Stella than to the camera... ] ...Is... that enough?

[ Stella bursts out laughing - though to her credit it’s definitely a fond sort of laugh. ]

Okay, that’s one hundred percent a Violet introduction! I wouldn’t want it any other way! [ And so, she directs her attention back to the camera. ] Violet’s one of my best, best, BEST friends from back home! You guys’ve heard me talk a whole lot about our group and Violet’s in it too! Ohmygosh, I need to stream some of her stuff for you guys someday, especially now I have my phone back, her voice is absolutely killer and--

A-Ah, hold on, hold on--! [ The screen moves a bit, as Violet's moving to push the phone away. ] That's definitely enough for now... No one wants to hear all that, r-right?

Uh, duh, of course they do! Why wouldn’t they? [ But she can take a hint, and she releases Violet for now and steps back a bit so she can escape from the camera. Then, when she’s sure Violet’s not listening, she adds a stage-whispered aside to the camera. ] I’ll upload those for you guys later, okay? [ And then back at her normal volume which… isn’t that much louder than her stage whispering, really. ] O-kaaayyyyy! Make sure you guys check in and say hi, alright? Vi just got here so I don’t want her to just be stuck at the inn this whole time! Lemme know if you guys wanna come hang out!

[ She gives the camera a wave and then spins it around again to catch Violet on screen one last time. ]

Violet! Say bye to everyone!

I-I'm really alright staying in-- Huh, wait, um... [ Oh no help wait the camera is on her again why. ] B... Bye? I guess. Is anyone even going to--

[ And the video ends there. ]

[Oh- that was a surprise.

On the one hand, Caster's happy for Stella. This was sure to make her feel less lonely if someone from her home was here too, wouldn't it?

But...

On the other, she couldn't help but feel a bit despondent. There was no reason Stella would want someone like her for company if she had an actual, close friend to talk to instead, right?

Still, the suspicious looking cloaked woman let a small smile come into her face as she answered.]

I'm glad for you.

...and a pleasure to meet you, Violet. My name is Caster, I'm a- I'm a friend of Stella's.

[She...would count as that, right?]

[Violet's just... taken out her own phone to start replying to people. Well, more like... she took it out to see if there would be any at all.

This person...

...She's so mysterious. What sort of people is Stella befriending? Wait, is that judgmental? Wait, never mind, first of all she should answer.]

Oh! Ah... that's just like Stella. She makes friends really quickly. I don't know how she manages...

But, ah, it's nice to meet you as well, Ms. Caster.

She does seem strangely determined to befriend even the most stubborn people...

[Caster still had no idea how to deal with the overly friendly pink one.]

I'll never understand where that energy of her's comes from.

Yeah, that's Stella alright... I swear, it's like she's a generator or something. I'm not sure she can run out.

She can be a bit much, but... I guess in this case, that's kind of a strength.

I did get that impression, although I haven't seen her quite this excitable before.

[Congrats on being a 'good' influence, Violet?]

Casteerrrrr! [ She is SO EXCITED. ] Ohmigod, you definitely have to meet Violet! I think you two'd really get along!

[ And also their colour schemes match!!! Foolproof. ]

[Yup, that excitement could definitely be felt from here.

The matching colours certainly wasn't lost on her.]

Well, feel free to introduce us in person.

...I didn't think you could get more excitable than you already were.

[There was a slight tease in her tone, at that.]

Oh, trust me, you haven't seen anything yet! So far I've been at maybe thirty percent. But now Violet's here, it's more like sixty percent! Just imagine what it'd be like at one hundred percent!

[ It's impressive how confidently she said all that, considering it was total bullshit from beginning to end, huh. ]

Are you gonna come visit? Oh, oh! Or maybe we could come hang out with you and meet up!

...That's a terrifying thought.

[If this was 60% she couldn't imagine what 100% would be like!]

Not tonight. It's been a long time since you've seen each other, after all- I wouldn't want to interrupt. Once she's settled in a little, then I'll come by and 'hang out'.

Heck yeah! As soon as we figure out what we wanna do when Vi's settled in a little, I'll message you and we can make plans! There's so many cool places around here I wanna show her!

[ RIP in advance to everyone else in Avalon for when they inevitably have to deal with Stella dragging Caster and Violet everywhere. ]

[Nothing like some friendly teasing, right? Plus, well, she knew from her last conversation with Stella that she'd been struggling a bit without anyone from home to practice with.]

[Just immediately turning to Stella next to her. Forgetting for a moment that she's supposed to be replying. R-Right. She should be polite, first of all.]

Oh, but, um, it's nice to meet you as well... And thank you for telling me.

[ STELLA CAN'T HEAR SUDDENLY, I DON'T KNOW ]

No problem at all! But yeah, it'd be cool for all of us to hang out sometime if you're up for it.

Mm, that's right. We're both members of the Prism Maidens. She's pink and I'm... violet.

It's kind of like, a thing... Like a rainbow thing, you know. We kind of need one of every color.

...Well, technically Stella's red, but, practically speaking...

[ Stella splutters in protest. ]

You traitor! I bet you were the kind of kid who'd say "what about homework?" when your teacher forgot it was due, weren't you?!

[Is Stella really going to believe her with the way she's laughing though? Even if it is a little forced.]

But I got lucky given my school didn't really give traditional homework, so never had the chance to test that one.

What the heck! You guys managed to get out of doing homework? Jeez, we've still gotta hand stuff in even if we're busy with colour stuff...

[ She clenches her fist, far more dramatically than is really called for. ]

Some people just don't know how good they have it...!

Huh? Colour stuff, what'd you mean?

[It was a little hollow, but Mukuro couldn't help but laugh at how dramatic Stella was being.]

Haha, I know, right? We all like, went to this school for the super-talented so we just had to focus on honing our talents rather than traditional lessons and stuff. It really wasn't all that bad!

Yeah, colour stuff. We're idols, y'know? Part of the biz.

[ She just moves on, like she's adequately explained herself despite very much not doing that. ]

That sounds kinda fun, though! Like a big vocational school kinda thing?

Ohhh, that's pretty cool! That must've been kinda tough work though.

[It's fine, she has precisely 0 idea what idol work involved.]

Yeah, something like that! I was known as the Ultimate Fashionista, so most of my work was around like, designing and makeup and modelling and stuff. Building an audience and magazine photoshoot stuff.

Whaaaaat, that's so cool! So you were learning all the design stuff too, that rocks! Man, we just have to learn all the regular stuff like Maths and whatever else back at our school...

[ You know, those unimportant basic life skills. No biggie. ]

Yeah that sounds, like, totally lame in comparison. Probably more useful, but pretty sure the theory was that if they helped us super-charge our talents then we could just focus on them and be successful that way.

Worked pretty well as a model though I guess? There were some people in my class who had other interests and didn't care about honing their talents though, so it wasn't perfect.

[Plus, you know, the fact that the entire system was a ticking time bomb waiting to go off.]

I guess I can kinda understand that. I mean, no matter how much I like singing, if somebody tried to sit me down and make it so singing was gonna be the one thing I was ever gonna do, I would one hundred percent want to do literally anything else except singing.

[ it's almost like... putting all your eggs in the basket of impressionable gifted children... is bad??? ]

Yeah, pretty much. Like, Leon was a guy in my class who was pretty much like that. He's the Ultimate Baseball Star, but he grew to hate it and just wanted to be a rockstar, you know? It's hard when someone tries to put you into a single box that you're just not invested in or sure about.

I even wondered if modelling was what I really wanted to do the whole time a lot... so, yeah. I feel you there.

[Shocking that, the Hope's Peak model was very flawed.]

I guess in a weird way, coming here was kind of good for you? I mean, you sorta get to take a break and think about it. Like a hiatus or something! Except you just get to put everything on pause and pick it back up whenever we get back home.

[ She's... helping? ]

I didn't think about it like that... I mean, trying things out when you're taken away from it all isn't a bad idea, you know?

What'd you think you're gonna try and do here?

Who, me? I don't have a clue!

[ She really shouldn't be laughing about that... ]

But the fun part is figuring it out along the way, right?

Haha, wow. You're seriously laid back about this...but I guess so!

I just figure it's not gonna do me or anybody else any good if I get myself tied up in knots, y'know? Something'll come along and I'll figure it out then. Until then, I'm just gonna chill out and take things at whatever pace I want!

You still doing alright after... [she waves her hand] everything that happened in the woods?

[She should've listened more to the warnings. Or, like, at all...]

It's been a huge relief... I'm not... much of a social type, but...

Well, more than anything, it's a good thing Stella's not here alone. She's already been slacking off.

Heh. I know someone back home who has problems with that too. Or a couple, depending on where they're slacking off.

Ah... W-Well...

I kind of... ended up helping out with gathering these nuts and... there was this bear monster?

[ Stella just splutters in shock. ]

Bear monster?! Did you get out okay? Did you get hurt?! Weren't you gonna tell me about this?! Jeez, Vi!
