[The image turns on, showing a white-haired young woman adjusting the camera on her smart phone, just out of frame before making it center finally on her before speaking.]
This would be a lot easier if you could help me, you know.
[A caw can be heard from off-screen, presumably from the girl's familiar. She sighs before continuing.]
Alright, so. I guess I'm new here, and I'm... trying to figure out what to do with myself. I've gotten settled in, but does anyone have any idea what to do next? I mean, there's those quests, but some of them seem kinda... completely fucking crazy?
[Another sigh.]
And I guess I should also try to get a handle on this magic thing, right? I've apparently got elemental magic. All of this sounds nuts, but I guess I should try and figure out how to deal with it.
Just. Yeah. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
[Caaaaaw!]
What?! Come on, what are you- oh. I guess I should introduce myself. [She suddenly appears more nervous than before.] My name's Chris. Chris Yukine.

[ It was a terrible, depressing, awkward moment for them both. ]
You need not feel so rushed, I think. Or, mayhaps, you are better used to a more rigorous schedule for yourself?
no subject
[She pauses at the woman's advice. When had she become someone who had a "rigorous schedule"? Sure, she'd always made sure to study, and there'd been all that training with S.O.N.G.
Was the old man rubbing off on her?! That was a terrifying thought.]
I just wanna make sure I don't fall behind! What about you? Are you okay? Doing any better?

... No, I guess you shouldn't. But uh. Could you use my last name, instead? Where I come from, first names are for good friends and family members and stuff. So "Lady Yukine" would be fine, I think.

In response to what you asked before, you would be pleased to know I am well. My knight, Ser Agrias, is here, and already I feel my mood lifted.

Your familiar might not be too reliable if it's already messin' with you like that, so a stand would probably help you out a lot.
[... Of course, she's just speaking from her tiny creature training experience.
Understandably, her Morgrem familiar will never get to hold her phone as long as she can help it.]

Still, a stand is pretty good advice. I'll look into that!

I've gotten elemental magic as well, and it's quite similar to what I was used to at home, so if you would like any assistance I should be happy to help.
no subject
Really? That'd actually be pretty helpful. I've only managed a small flame so far.

I'll be upfront, I'm just piggybacking off you. I have no idea what the fuck to do with any of this myself. Just glad to see someone else asking.
no subject
A lot of what we're talking about has just started, so I'm not sure what I can tell you, yet.
no subject
You aren't wrong about those quests. It seems insane to just jump into some of that crap to pass the time.
no subject
It's not about passing time. It's just that some of them seem ridiculous, or downright awful. I'm not afraid to work to get ahead here, but I don't want to do it by messing with people's emotions or hurting them!

Well anyway, hello white haired woman, meet a gloomy girl, whose black hair is long these days.]
Get to know places, find a job or learn to ride a horse if you don't know how to do that already. If you do, well, riding around isn't bad use of time either. Just a few ideas, there's probably a lot more to do too.
The quests aren't always as crazy as they seem to be this month. And yes, try to learn handling your magic.
