Hello everyone. As most of you already know, I'm Ren, owner of Shining Karaoke and various other things. I have a few things to announce.

[Too many occupations to list. Busy man, he is. But apparently not busy enough.]

After the whole tournament in Elphame, I have decided we need a new sort of competition. Something with less magic and fighting and more other skills. Something fun.

[Imagine a drumroll here.]

So I have decided to host a Dance Competition. What I don't know is when it will be held or where, but I wanted to let people know ahead of time so they can start practicing if they want. And if you want to give suggestions for a time, that would also be appreciated. It can't be next month since we have the concert then.

Ah, I'm thinking there would be categories for single dancers, pairs and groups.

My other business is an open invitation to visit my lands' gardens. We have herb gardens, but also this giant rose garden outside my castle. Both are open to visitors and you're free to practice your green magic here.

I did say that there'd be one for single dancers, one for pairs and one for groups at least. I wouldn't want to put multiple dancers competing against one.

Admittedly I'm more into modern dance styles myself. That could be a generation thing.

I could, but sadly I haven't met either of them. Perhaps in the futute when I'm actually famous around the world and not just Japan.

I don’t have much practical experience with dancing, but I do know how on a technical level. Is it open to any style?

They're even prettier in person.

Haha yes, I’m sure. I’ll have to stop by some time! Back home, I rarely got to experience real flowers.

That sounds like a good idea. I do more traditional ballroom dancing, but I don’t know how popular that’d be among the others here.

Really? Well, good thing this place is filled with flowers, especially right now.

[Not to mention some places even had flower arcs earlier in the spring.]

I do enjoy watching and dancing ballroom dances, but in terms of a competition I'm not sure how many we have that would compete in that way. Though I am thinking about dancing some tango with my girlfriend, if she feels like it...

Yes, it’s been really amazing how many things I’ve been able to experience since I arrived here. I usually only saw flowers when we were out on missions. [Not a lot of flowers in Antartica or the middle of the ocean.]

Oh, the tango! How nice. I’ve studied that one a little too. … I wonder if Senpai would like to compete with me?

I would definitely enjoy a competition in tango, so you should ask at least.

I wouldn’t want to trouble her, I’m not sure if she even knows how. But yes, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to ask! There’s enough time, perhaps I could even teach her the basics by the competition if need be.

Did you plant the roses yourself or were they there when you took ownership of the land?

[Ren is amused by the reaction, but decides not to tease her too much. Just to be polite.]

There was a smaller garden when I moved here, but we've been planting more. I have quite an interest in roses so I'm delighted I can do this.

Roses in particular? What’s your favorite thing about them?

Roses are often tied to romance and their colors mean different things. I also love their scent a lot.
