Hi, everyone!
[It’s Jane again, your friendly local zoologist!]
After the Unnamed Marshes I’ve been trying to collate everything I was able to learn about the fae there, but with the uh… inhospitable conditions being what they were, I wasn’t able to get as much research done as I would have liked.
[But she smiles brightly, because this is where you come in.]
So I’d simply love to hear about everyone else’s experiences! So if you could tell me about the things you saw out there… I’d be very grateful for you taking the time. [Then she wiggles a pencil at the camera.]
And if you can describe what you saw well enough for me to sketch it, then all the better!

I did not go there, but a friend mentioned experiencing a lot of mushroom-like people... it sounds adorable to imagine.

[At least, those of them that could be scared. Jane was unfortunately one of them.]
But there was ultimately no harm in them, thank goodness. I did get some wonderful little sketches of the village and the fae there.

Were you really scared? They're usually the sort to enjoy surprising those that can be. Are you an artist, my Lady?
no subject
[She may have startled a few of them with how loudly she'd yelled when they tried to spook her, though they had found it funny as well.]
And yes, I am! An artist, that is. I dare say I'm a rather good one. [Jane beams a sunny smile at that.] I've been drawing and painting since I was a little girl.

You sound so talented, my Lady! Do you have any of your works here? I would love to see them if you do!
no subject
[Modesty, all of it. Jane is quite talented indeed.]
But I do have some finished pieces here. Sometimes I'll sell them on, but I'm afraid I do get rather too attached to most of them. [She laughs.] You're welcome to have a look if you'd like!

[Look at this face. This is the face of someone who really, really wants to take you up on that idea.]
You can remember them well enough to do that?
no subject
Yeah. I spend some extra time looking at them... just in case I needed an animal later that can adapt to marshes.

[And she's beaming as she says that, clearly entirely genuine in her praise. That it benefits her as well is only a lucky bonus.]
When would you have the time?
no subject
I'm mostly free in the afternoons this week.

[Not that Jane is ever really pressingly busy, but she can at least ensure that she's home and not off in the middle of the forest somewhere.]
Ooh, I'm going to have to buy some new pencils.

[And gosh, she looks very cheerful about this.]
How many different creatures do you think you can show me? I don't suppose you kept count.

[And he can be sure that a visit like that will come along with tea and cake, and maybe some sandwiches.]
I can already tell this is going to be incredibly helpful.

[Funny, how had she not even thought of that?]
Of course! It would be my pleasure. I've never tried it before - teaching that is... but I'm sure I can manage.
