[The place, while tidy, also doesn't exactly smell.... well the greatest. It smells like fish... strongly like fish. Overwhelmingly fishy.]

[Normally such a smell doesn't bother him too much, since Jade is normally a fish himself. But human noses are a bit more sensitive so he does have to take a moment.]

I see you've been really busy with it, huh?

[Even though this was a social call with no ulterior motives, he was already discreetly looking around, mentally taking in whatever info he could, should he be able to use it at a later date.]

[Given that the smell can be vomit inducing to those not accustomed to it... yes he has been very busy with it indeed!]

Yeah, it's what happens when you're working with fish.

[Pickling fish and then opening up the jars after x amount of time. The apartment's pretty clean, surprising given that the big guy looks kind of thuggish and not really the type to keep a tidy space.]

They taste good though, I can guarantee that.

I am sure they will. I do not get to have them this way often, so it ought to be a nice treat.

It doesn't take long before she's there, knocking in a quick cheerful rattle of sound. This time, she has been smart enough to bring a bag of her own to carry things home with; she suspects she's going to be foisted more than one jar, though how many in total, she can't guess yet. Either way, it's not anything she wants to try carrying in her arms alone. ]

And as long as you can eat it with rice, I'll probably eat it more than once.

[Lets be super fair here, so long as it tastes good who cares if it's just mystery meat forced into a tube? Luckily this isn't mystery meat forced inside of a tube. But canned herring that's kept inside a jar with various veggies and deliciousness.]

Not sure about rice, but you probably could? It's usually eaten with bread or as a snack.
