[Unlike everyone who isn't an asocial loner, Zelgadis prefers to keep his face off the network. He doesn't even really want to address the network at all, but he's kind of reached a point where keeping to himself isn't really working out. Sooo this is him stepping outside his comfort bubble, good for him.
Well, kind of stepping out of it. He just goes ahead and skips a proper introduction completely in order to get down to business.]
You'll have to forgive me if this seems like a stupid question, but the sort of technology that you have here doesn't exist where I'm from. To say that everything feels overwhelming is an understatement, but before I get too off track...
[There's a deep sigh, the sigh of a man who is just So Done with all the ridiculous curveballs that life keeps throwing at him.] This... microwave device, I believe is what it's called. It's not supposed to be smoking, right?
[Maybe he should have asked someone for technology tips before almost setting his hotel room on fire. Sorry about the smoke, hotel.]

I'd be interested to know what sort of differences each of our worlds have, but I'm not really sure of the best way to go about compiling that data.

maybe i should buy a notebook just for this or something.....
ash bananas look nothing like bananas
they're sorta yellow but they look more like big berries or something
and taste more like a melonyam than a banana, not as squishy...
ash banana bread is common, it's like fruity and sweet

I'll just take your word for it.
Maybe it would be easier to use this network or whatever it's called to compile information? Not that I would know the first thing about doing that, but since we're all connected by this it might be a good place to start.

im gonna tell my friends from home here, maybe they'd be interested in this...
cuz there are really a lot of weird similarities to keep track of
my world's only language is written and read the same as a language from my friends' planet but spoken differently
make sense of that!!?

here its magic
everyone sounds to me as if i'm at home which is nice.
on the other planet there was its own language we magically learned overnight. but could deliberately switch to our own native languages too. so that was kinda cool but weird. i never knew about other languages.
