Hm, I am not all too certain, anon. Maybe he likes both species a lot but he might like cats just a little but more.

Maybe he (Merlin) might have a much softer spot for owls as well? I have one with me since I was younger and she is also in here as well.

That could be cute. Like he looks like a dog, but actually acts like a cat. A fussy eater and lounges most of the day. But also kind of shaggy looking and big.

Yeah, I agree with you too, anon. Arthur does have shaggy hair and usually hangs out at his castle when not attending to his royal duties. I guess that being king can be stressful at times.

Well, she is a snowy owl: white feathers with black markings, yellow amber eyes, and quite majestic too. Very intelligent and an excellent hunter too.

She sounds super pretty! Owls get pretty big though, so you must have your hands full a lot of the time.

Yeah, that has been in my mind lately since hearing stuff on the streets, anon. I bet that Merlin would love to have a pet room filled with cats and dogs at his place.

Hm, I see: she does like to keep her busy whenever I’m not around, she likes to fly in the skies a lot. She does have a cage to live in since I don’t have that many spaces for her to live in my flat, though she hates it when she gets cooped inside a cage for a very long time.

Mm, it must be hard being a bird trapped inside all day. Especially a big owl; it must be super nice to be able to fly around freely like that.

Yeah, I wouldn’t be too surprised if we can find him at the animal shelter in his free time. He does post a lot of photos of animals on his social media that often after all.

Unfortunately, that is more complicated to put it in words than I was hoping. It must have been the resentment and jealously on my aunt’s part and she and her family tried to live a ‘more normal’ life while trying to dismissing anything related to magic.

I wish that she could have handle it much better than she did to cope for most of her life and when she was raising me and my cousin.

He refuses to speak, shuts down if he so much as whispers an ounce of truth, and then picks a fight so one of us has to leave with at minimum a broken bone and tells me I have to kill him. The only time he would willingly spend time with me was when I concealed my identity or my life was in danger, because I can't kill him if I'm dead. What do you want me to listen to when he will not speak but to hurt?

I'm the only one who has the bloodline for the throne. I have a brother, but he was born of adultery, so he cannot claim it. More than that, I'm the only one physically capable of the feat. You could say my life's path was painted for me in my father's blood in more ways than one.
