[ The video just happens to be her looking a bit nervous, and probably tired. ]
It has been a while since I have required counsel and I beg forgiveness for an inconvenience of time.
But... is it normal, among mortals, to only seek conflict and fighting to resolve what could be resolved through understanding and discussion?
[ Her familiar from home, a fox kit, appears at the corner of the screen and hands her what looks like an envelope, and she smiles a bit and thanks him for bringing it before continuing. Her familiar from here- a red phoenix, flutters behind to watch the screen too.
She looks a little better when she sees who it's from, but still tense as she continues. ]
And... is it possible for curses placed back in our home worlds to return to activity here? My magic has been... a bit difficult lately. Forgive me, I'd no one to ask... Everyone is going through so much, and I would not burden anyone, but it is important I know sooner than later.
I fear my lack of understanding despite my better attempts to learn of mortals has not been going well... and I would not wish to hurt those I love. Though I fear I have paid the price for it. Thank you for your replies, should you give them...
[ She bows her head before turning off the feed, hoping someone can help. ]

Speaking from experience... yeah. Sometimes we do choose to resolve things with fighting instead of even trying to talk about it. It has happened many times. Both in my own personal conflicts and on a bigger scale.

[ She upset this one too... so she looks a bit guilty. ]
Does such conflict truly resolve anything at all? I know conflict is inevitable at times, but... it seems so unnecessary when something small is escalated to a fight.

[He can't really control what he looks like. It doesn't bother him too much.]
It really depends on the situation. Sometimes fighting is a good way to clear the air between you and someone. Sometimes it just makes things worse.

Humans love to get into fights and have wars over every little thing. They always have.
no subject
So I've seen. They've used my kind to assist them in such, but it all seems so wasteful. Even my fathers refused to aid them after a time, because it felt so never-ending.

[Granted, merfolk aren't any better so to speak but they can't exactly use things like explosives to get their way underwater.]

Where are you right now, Kitsuno?

Greetings to you.
I am in my old home.
I feared being around others would cause trouble, with my magic unstable.
Is yours alright?
no subject
But that is not why I'm reaching out. You sound as if you could use company, if you would not be adverse to mine. Unstable magic or no.

Those that hurt others when it was undeserved are not looked upon well.
When mortals started to use spiritkind to fight for them, most refused.
It is not our way.

So, instead of Usagi's normal hyperactive cheerfulness, she has a sad smile on her face here and her hands are clutching above her heart too.]
Yes, it's unfortunately really common though it doesn't happen only between mortals.
[Her familiars are cute. Or well, obviously they all have just one familiar from this world here but still... Usagi is petting a Samoyed, her familiar is probably somewhere playing tag with the kits.]
I don't think curses from home return to activity here, or at least I haven't heard of that happening during my time here. I'm not saying it couldn't happen but... Maybe other options are more likely... You're definitely not burdening anyone, it's important to get answers and just as important to ask questions to get them, so please, ask as many questions as come to your mind, okay? None of us want to hurt those we love, I'm glad to hear you have loved ones here. But umm, my magic has been acting up or I mean also been difficult lately, but maybe it has something to do with everything, that happened last month?
no subject
Mortal ways are still very new to me, even after a year here... and my beloveds are mortal too. Sometimes I think in ways that make more sense to me than others, and it upsets others. It is kind of you to say as much, though.
Are you immortal, as well?
no subject
[Her beloved are mortals? That can be so scary, she remembers times, when she's been afraid for mortal humans in these different worlds and not just in her own.]
We can't really change the way we think and that's okay, even if it makes more sense to you and upsets others at first, you can get through it together somehow. It may take time, it may take a lot of talking and there may be a lot of silence and lots of other things before things are okay again but things will get better!
[Aaand that question seems to totally surprise her. What give her away???]
I-- Here? I'm as mortal as we all are here--
[OBVIOUSLY!! If she'll die here, she'll have to be revived like anyone else. Oh gosh, she isn't used to talking about this but she also doesn't want to hide it?? She's not going to be yelling about it all around Avalon but... She looks sheepish for a moment, ruffling her hair and trying to think how to put it into words. Deep breath seems to calm her down.]
Back home, I'm somewhere between on my way to really be called an immortal, I think, at least for now. I guess it's in my future but so far it's more like if I die, I can just be reborn again without any physical changes and I'll have my memories too.

ideals can be irreconcilable. the will of others will come into conflict.

Mortals seem to go through great lengths to hide how they truly feel, even if it involves physically harming one another.

what's more, i would not make such sweeping generalizations about your own people. or do you not consider beings like oni or hashihime or other violent youkai to be among your kind?
i'm not trying to be mean, i am just trying to point out that things aren't ever that simple.

And yet - there's something about this message that stands out enough in her mind for her to feel like replying all the same. ]
It's because people misunderstand things easily.
[ She's not sure if she'd use the word 'mortal'. There's prboably a lot of immortals who are like that too. ]
Because of our emotions, you know?
no subject
It takes her a moment to respond once she's spoken. ]
... Mm! I... have seen that mortals tend to- think far more on some things, than my kind do. It is something I've had to learn to understand... but it hasn't been easy.
Spiritkind tend to not over-complicate things, you see... but I am told that is considered cold by mortals.

So I'm hearing. Words were usually only a part of resolving conflict, where I come from. But only lesser demons resorted to destruction and violence.
Most mortals here have only ever known such conflict to be their norm. It is unsettling to hear of.
