[Were you expecting an extremely cheerful ball of sunshine on the network today? Yes? No? Maybe? Well, that's what everyone's getting here either way!]

Hello! If we've never met, my name is Usagi Tsukino and it's really nice to meet everyone! You know, ever since our trip to that ball last month, there's only one thing, that I've been mostly thinking about.

[Drum roll please, what could it be? She says one thing, but it's actually everything related to one thing.]

So, let's talk about food! What's your favorite food? What about a favorite around this time of the year? Or your favorite food during other seasons, or any other seasonal favorites? What do you like eating for breakfast? What about for brunch? Lunch? Dinner? What about before breakfast and after dinner? What about snacks, gotta eat something between all of those too, right? What do you usually sneak to get from the fridge during night?

[Look, after avoiding all the fairy food last month, she's really, really been thinking about this and hey, maybe she and anyone else can get (new) ideas from this post.]

Also, my Mamo-chan teased me about Valentine's Day cakes today, so of course we had to go get some cake and ice cream too because I just happened to see that on our way home and now we have lots of that too. So, what are your favorite baked goods and ice cream flavors?

[Oh gosh, she's getting so hungry just from thinking about all of this between asking all of these questions. She knew it would happen, it sure isn't a surprise to anyone, who knows her.]

Okay, one more thing before I stop with all of these questions. Are you good at cooking or baking? Or maybe you're like one of my best friends from home by being amazing at both?

No, I eat even more than that in any a day, every day and night too.

[Don't say that like it's a bad thing, Jean, at least this girl sounds like she has no problems with how much she eats. Spoilers: she doesn't have any problems with or from it. But hey, hearing about another food lover seems to be exciting news to her and Usagi smiles!]

How? I can barely eat five meals a day.

[He's always wondered what kind of an endless, bottomless stomach people like Sasha and Usagi had.]

Probably. She'd have a culture shock with all you can eat buffets... and the restaraunt would go out of business.

I run around the place even whenever I'm at work, or on my way there or on my way anywhere else from there. Gotta eat for all of that energy, that I spend by jumping around everywhere.

[Hahah, jumping, get it? No, Usagi, he won't because he doesn't know what your name means. Or maybe she just happened to be born with an endless, bottomless stomach and even this world can't stop it completely.]

Culture shocks sure happen a lot in these places, I had no idea what smartphone and some other things were... But hey, I could team up with her and we could go to buffets, restaurants and everywhere else together!

I move around a lot too, you know. Training and working with animals.

[He even practices his magic a lot, which takes him energy a lot too. Some of them are just built different, he supposed.]

So you can run every restaurant out of business?

[ Those are a lot of questions. And she isn't sure she'll answer all of them, but she's happy to say something. ]

I really like sweets! I love trying out different kinds, but I especially love soft-serve ice cream! Especially the half-vanilla, half-chocolate kind. I don't really have any favorite foods for meals, except maybe pancakes for breakfast.

And I'm pretty good at cooking and baking! I like trying out different recipes and seeing what I can come up with.

[Maybe she should have made it into a questionnaire like that one post, that she saw in another world once upon a time... No, just kidding, just kidding, it's more like whatever catches anyone's attention from there and no need to reply to everything so whatever works best for anyone!

Anyway! Suddenly seeing a pink new friend on her screen makes the moon bunny gasp in excitement and her name is adorable too!]

I really love sweets too and trying out different kinds of them is so much fun! Ah, I really love soft-serve ice cream too though my favorite is strawberry, or somedays I order half-vanilla and half-strawberry too, but ice cream comes in soooooo many great flavors too! Oh my gosh, pancakes for breakfast is amazing, soft and fluffy pancakes and whatever toppings anyone might want with it is so good.

[Another gasp at being good at cooking and baking! This new pink friend sounds amazing~!]

That sounds like so much fun! Do you have any favorite recipes so far?

[ Amy can't help a little giggle. She's only talked to this person for a brief moment, but she already likes her a lot. ]

I actually made these cookies one time with coffee beans! I never thought to use whole coffee beans in anything before, but they actually turned out pretty good!

[ Oh gosh. Of course Usagi of all people would return from a ball where they literally can't eat thinking about food..

There's perhaps the faintest hint of exasperation in that thought, but it's very, very fond exasperation. That's Minako's princess and friend, alright. ]

Sooo, are you leaving some cake for the rest of us or is it all disappearing before we can get to it? [ She's smiling though - clearly just being playful. ]

[Yes, of course she would. Parties like that ball aren't supposed to be a really bad time for her!

She loves teasing from her though.]

I don't know, maybe you should hurry up here and find out. [It might be gone by then.] But at least there are a lot of bakeries and other places to get more cakes around here if we run out of one, right?

[... But is Usagi joking? Look, there are all those food and cake deliveries, so teasing or not, she'll get more cake if she eats all of it.]

Hey, hey, what sort of logic is that!

[ At least not a single part of Minako here sounds truly offended. Please, as if she could ever be truly offended by Usagi, of all people. The other girl is the light of her life.

It's 100% just her being dramatic. Because it's fun. ]

Are you trying to tell me you actually did eat it all already, and now you're just covering up your crimes?! I'm onto you..!

Well, it's my logic, so I guess it's My Sort Of Logic??

[She is so much fun and this is one of the endless reasons, that she missed Minako, when she was in another world before this one and then here without her too. You know, aside from all of their time apart back home too recently.]

I-- [ How did she figure it out? (Duh, she knows her.) Okay, BUSTED!! Her face is turning red. ] Y-Yes, but we'll get more cakes and I'll pay for all of them?? Listen, I gotta eat all the things now before they come up with the next bad things for food.

['gotta eat all the things now' she says but they both know she's been eating about as much as usual... and really, she's not expecting bad food/drink things to be happening anywhere around here anytime soon after that but a food loving girl needs to be prepared!!]

[ It's baffling just how many excuses Usagi can think up on the spot when it comes to food, huh. It's like it's a real talent.

At least it's a good thing that Minako isn't really that invested in having some cake.. Though it would be nice, she supposes. ]

Sounds like we've got a date then.

[ A friend date! They have respective significant others, after all.. ]

A date where we're going to go to the bakery today, and you're going to buy me aaaall the cake I want to make up for this! [ She's just teasing! Mostly. They can just pick out some cake together they both think is nice and eat it together, Minako thinks. It'd be fun to do together. ]

I'm a vegetarian. So I guess it does limit what I can eat when there aren't vegetarian substitutes around... But I'm not a very good one, ahaha! I can never resist cakes and the likes.

[ But on the brighter side: ]

That said, I aim to become both a good cook and baker for Minako's sake. [Which meant:] I count on you to taste test the stuff I'm going to be doing in the coming months.

Have you found a lot of substitutes here? ...I mean I'm an all eater, but I sure don't mind eating vegetarian meals either, they're just as amazing too as long as you or someone else eats carrots for me... Cakes are the best, I'm sure you're an awesome vegetarian even when you can't resist cakes or whatever else! No one needs to completely resist them~.

[Unless they're allergic to something in them or something, but that's besides the point. Usagi gasps and claps her hands together!]

Oh my gosh, that's amazing! Yes, yes yes yes yes, I will happily taste test everything, you can count on me!

Mhm, I need to go to specific places. Most restaurants and shops don't really have substitutes, but that's okay. I got my habits now.

[ Oh no, she didn't eat carrots... But they're delicious! Well, Monika doesn't say anything, you can't help your tastes, right? And she smiles at her enthusiasm at being a taste tester. ]

Speaking of which... [She raised a finger.] Do you know of specific dishes she likes? I'd really like to surprise her... But I don't want to accidentally cook something she hates, ahaha!

I came from a forest that forbade animal husbandry, so the majority of my family's diet was fish and vegetables. Oh, we had milk and eggs when we could import them, but it was more expensive. Personally, though, I'm a meat-eater, and I don't know how I survived on nothing but Mun-Tuy beans and other stuff that came out of the ground. I also love cheese, ironically. You should've seen me trying it for the first time.

As for cooking... I won a competition once where the judge was considered notoriously picky. The theme was "a mother's love," and apparently mine was just that good. I'm still proud of it to this day. Perfect score, A++++, would do business again... heh, you know.

Oh, I'm sorry you had to survive through all of that! I love eating everything in some kind of a balance, so even if those would be nice variation sometimes, I don't know how I'd adapt to eating them all the time... [She would if she really had to but luckily that's not the case here!] I wish I had been there seeing the first time, when you tried cheese, I love cheese too! I hope I'll be somewhere around here sometime, when you try something for the first time, heheh! But at least you don't have to worry about not getting to eat whatever you feel like eating here, there's so much variety in all the food and everything related to food around here, that it even takes time to taste everything.

Woooooooow!! Congrats for winning that competition, that's amazing! What did you make for it?

Thanks! It was deep-fried okeanis, with morel salad as an appetizer and marron glace for dessert. Nothing heavy, since the judge would be eating quite a bit before my entry, so I had to concentrate everything into a small amount of food. I suppose it helped that I was last to be judged, too.

I try things for the first time all the time! I've recently been on a sushi kick, but sometimes I'll just walk into any old place and order something totally foreign to me. You know, whatever is the chef's specialty. I've had some big hits and big misses from doing that, for sure.

My favorite food though? Hm... Can't say I really have one? Maybe something warm for this time of the year though, like chili! Chili's really good to keep yourself nice and warm, and you can have it no matter the time of day! Oh! But I do really like farm fresh veggies and fruits!

Nothin' like a cool, juicy watermelon in the summer to tide ya over in a hot day.

For the last one, I can't really say I'm all that good at cooking. I can make a few things, most of 'em are gonna be really simple when compared to most of everything that I've seen folks make here.

There's soooooooo much amazing food in this world, or back in my home world too, that I really can't pick one or even just some favorites either. Oh, chili's great when it's not too hot, I don't want too much heat but it's a nice addition to food as long as it doesn't burn my mouth. Fresh veggies and fruits are the best, I eat them every day!♥

Right?!! Watermelon, strawberries and ice cream are my absolute favorites during summer even if I eat all of them all year round but they always make me think of summer anyway.

I'm not either, I mostly assist or try to make together with people but would be pretty chaotic if I tried cooking or baking alone. Some people here sure are amazing at cooking and baking, one of my best friends, who used to be here's still my favorite though.

[... Obviously, Usagi, she's one of your best friends after all. No, but seriously, Mako-chan's cooking and baking skills are amazing!!]
