[ Fenton seems a little nervous as he appears on the network, looking somewhere off to the side. When he looks back to the camera, it's clear that he's worried about something. ]

Has...anyone seen or heard from Drake? Drake Mallard? He hasn't been home and I've been trying to get in touch with him, but I haven't been able to reach him. I keep getting a message that his device isn't in service.

[ He has an idea of what that means, but...he just needs to be sure. ]

...yeah. It's uh...looking likely.

[ And he's pretty torn about that, because while the knowledge that Drake is safely home makes it a little easier, he's already missing his friend. ]

[ Fenton hesitates a moment, because he doesn't really want to alarm the man too much...but he figures it's better to maybe give him a heads up now rather than later. ]

It, uh...can happen from time to time. Just like how we all randomly show up in this world, people can leave just as suddenly. We're still not quite sure how it all works.

Huh. Maybe he was sent home?

[That's some optimism you've got there, Bruno.]

I mean, maybe he did what they needed him to do and they didn't need to keep him here, any more?

That is the general assumption that people who leave here return to their respective worlds. [ It is the hope, at least, so Fenton will hold on to that belief until proven otherwise.

But the rest of it is something Fenton hadn't really considered before. ]

Yeah...maybe. It's possible. [ It still begs the question of why some people from the same world would stay when their friends went home, but there could still be some things that they needed to finish. ] I guess it'll just be up to the rest of us.

I last saw him on Christmas... I've been busy since then but I thought he was doing alright. If it says the device isn't in service, then I guess that means...

[ She didn't like thinking about that. The thought of people she cared for being sent back at random, herself being sent back at random— It was awful. ]

Y-Yeah...I saw him a couple of times since Christmas too, but I just figured we were both busy. But when I tried to check up on him today...nothing.

[ He doesn't like thinking about it either, but...it doesn't seem like they have a choice now. ]

...b-but hey. I mean, if he ended up going home, at least we know he's okay?

Well, our homeworlds are frozen in time and on the verge of destruction, right?

[ That's the painful little detail that changes everything, unfortunately. ]

So I guess it depends on us whether he remains okay or not...

[ He winces a little. ] Y-Yeah, there's...there's that. [ It's not that he had forgotten that detail exactly, but hearing it said like that does make the knowledge a little more difficult.

Still, he does try to find a silver lining in all this. ]

But at least it means that there's still a world for him to return to. [ Probably. ] And we just have to keep doing our best in order to save the worlds out there.

[ He'll just have to work even harder then. ]

Ohh... [Anna sighs like this sounds really familiar to her.]

I didn't know him at all but that... Sounds like that time when my sister disappeared from this world. I hope that didn't happen to him too, maybe he just lost his device and he's still around here somewhere!

But it's. . . It's a possibility, that he disappeared too, especially when the phone gives you that message. I'm sorry.

[ He nods a little. ] Yeah. It's...not the first time I've known someone who disappeared. I've had a few friends previously who left.

This is just, uh...the first time it's happened to someone I knew from the same world. [ So it does feel a little different. ]

I'll still keep a lookout for him, but...yeah, the message I get when I try to call him feels pretty indisputable.

Oh my. I’m really sorry to hear that, Fenton. I never got the chance to meet him, but I do hope that, wherever he is now, he is safe and sound.

(He still misses the friends who have since vanished, but he still is trying not to let that sour his mood as much as possible.)

It is really sad to see someone good so soon while we are trying to find a way to save the multiverse at this stage. But…

There is a good chance that he might return back to Avalon someday, although we can’t be sure when that day does come.

Yeah. Hopefully he'll be okay while we're trying to save the worlds out there.

[ He'd likely be frozen in time, like the rest of the world, but at least that means he can hang on until they succeed. ]

I guess we can only see what happens.

Y'know, it's weird, I haven't heard from Darkwing in a while either... which normally is kind of a blessing, but if one or the other went home, the other's gunna be really upset.

[ Fenton's brain reboots for a second, because did Della not know? Or did he just assume that she'd know since they were all sharing a house? Admittedly, Drake was a lot better about keeping his identity a secret than he was, but they were the only Duck people here does Della really not know? ]

Y-Yeah, uh...That would really be too bad.

[ Shoot what does he do? ]

[ Listen, no one ever accused Della of being a genius. Or, some days, of having basic common sense. ]

Don't worry, if it comes to it, I'll break the bad news to... well, whoever's around, if one of them still is.

[ So long that Minako didn't even notice that he wasn't even reachable at this point anymore. Especially if Fenton is right, and his device really isn't in service anymore - then that must mean he really did go home. ]

Sorry. I guess he's one of the more recent people who went home then.. [ Since surely Fenton would've found out about it sooner if he had already disappeared a while ago.

Who knows..? Maybe you'll be able to go back home soon too and see him again. [ She cautiously offers.

It's the one good thing about people disappearing from this place, Minako thinks. At least they're going home, which is better than being stuck in this place forever. ]
