[Hijikata was just having the time of his life on the Island of Dreams, playing with a whole bunch of cute mayonnaise mascots, when a little bird (literally or not... who knows) told him that back in Camelot his ghost subordinates are being hunted and trapped by dark web denizens. Shit!! Why does this happen the one time his burner phone is out of commission?!

After a quick panicked brainstorming session he decides to take to AOL, totally anonymous this time, just in case. He'll keep it short and sweet.]

How do you find ghosts that have been sealed in containers and hidden?

[If only there were something like a more specialised Wayfinder spell for this exact situation! Wait, didn't the traders sell a pendulum that can detect items? Ugh, why didn't he buy it?! But really, who could know that something like this would happen? Now he can only hope that Avalon's netizens have some good ideas for him.]

If they were hanging out here to be trapped they clearly weren't in the underworld. The quest on the QuestBoard claims that they're malicious ghosts, but I doubt that since there haven't been any corroborated reports of such activities.

[If he knew how to get the ghosts back to the underworld he'd have done that already! As it stands, though, he's determined to secure Camelot's nights with them until the next autumn equinox.]

That's right. Whoever put up that quest probably got scared of them just because they're ghosts and wants them gone.

[Ugh, that was hard to type when he knows that those bastards deliberately targeted them and put up the misleading quest on purpose!! But it's better to hide his tracks.]

They don't screen the quests for simpletons? That seems dangerous.

How'd you go about screening them, have the QuestBoard require accounts and make people take IQ-, logic- and ethics tests before they can register one?

[Actually that sounds good. Who's the QuestBoard administrator? He'll send in a suggestion!]

I have no idea what an IQ is, but logic and ethics seems sound enough a requirement before sending strangers into battle.

It's short for 'intelligence quotient', but honestly, I'd be glad if even just logic and ethics were checked for.

[This is like one of those situations where only two of three traits can be found in any given person, at best... and frankly, he's thrown himself into a number of quests that a smarter, more logical or more morally sound man would have stayed away from.]

Well, it's probably not going to happen, and it's too late for this quest in any case. I'll see if I can track down those ghost hunters.

Average citizens have problems they need help with too.

[ There'd barely be any quests if people had to be smart to post them. But common sense and good intentions seem like a good bar to him. ]

[Hijikata's tunnel vision that leads him to always engage on the most reckless quests leaves him somewhat blinkered for the average citizens and their average problems... but any attempts at gatekeeping the QuestBoard would have virtually no chance of going anywhere, and part of him understands that already, so he decides to simply focus on rescuing his subordinates.]
