video; un: mando
[The video opens, shaky at first before coming into focus on one of these majestic creatures. Din's commentary is less impressed and more just. Done.]

These are the horses we're supposed to look for, right? Someone's got a weird sense of humour.
I've seen better looking blurgs.
[The horse notices Din and starts to come over, it's face taking up more and more of the frame in a horrifying way until he stops recording.]

[Keith shrugged.]
I think I can keep them calm until we get them back to the stables.

Is there anything else I can do?
[He really wasn't trying to scare them, but he also doesn't speak horse.]

[Keith couldn't help but wonder if the helmet was bothering them. It made for a mechanical sounding voice, and the horses might not like the lack of a true face.]
The helmet might be spooking them? Do you need to keep it on?
[He wasn't going to push if Din said he wanted to leave it on... and it was a theory. Keith hadn't exactly asked why they were upset with the guy.]
no subject
[And unfortunately, some spooked horses are not enough for him to consider removing it.]
I can help with keeping the group together though, and I can bargain, if necessary.
no subject
Alright. We'll figure it out as we go.
As for now, though, they do seem to be calming down a bit, so it might not be so bad after all... just as long as something else doesn't come along to spook them again.
no subject
That might help if I keep my distance a bit.
no subject
[Was Keith jealous? Yeah... his didn't work, yet.]
no subject
More or less. They don't go very far but it's enough for our current purposes.

[Keith nodded.]

It still works... but I noticed that some stuff has a limit on how often I can use it, so I don't want to wear it down. I was able to get something from the traders that recharges things... but I haven't gotten it for my helmet, yet.

And they're more or less decent with ammunition.

[Keith had a unique metal, too, in his Marmora dagger. Luxite no longer had a source planet that anyone knew of anymore, either.]
no subject
I'm lucky to have a full suit of it. That's rare these days.
no subject
I have something similar. A weapon. It's a rare metal that only this group uses. No one else does. Not many others can.
[Luxite was extremely rare, and only those of Galra descent who proved themselves in the Trials of Marmora were able to activate it to change forms.]
no subject
That unique, huh? Sounds important. I'm assuming you're one of the lucky ones who can use it?
no subject
This place... the magic interfered with it for a bit, and I ran out of, I guess, charges? It stopped activating for a while. But I got that recharge service from the traders. It works again.
[Keith produced a dagger, though he no longer kept it wrapped in a cloth. He had originally because of the glowing emblem that was near the handle. There was a flash of light from the dagger, extending it into a sword. Like the dagger, it had the same glowing emblem near the hilt, but it had a matching line of light that extended the length of the blade.]
It's a metal called luxite.

Beskar doesn't have such properties, but forged right, and it becomes very strong and durable. The legend goes that it was the only metal able to stop laser swords.
no subject
Whoever works with it then has to be really skilled, yeah?
[They were nearing the stables now. Keith could see it in the distance. No offense to the poor curses horses, but the noises they'd been cursed to make with those faces was a lot to deal with, and Keith was ready to be rid of them.]
no subject
Indeed. They're well respected members of the tribe.
[Certainly, his Armourer commanded a lot of authority.]
no subject
So... what other types of people are in a tribe?
[So, he was a little curious.]
no subject
[He's aware now that there are others who have lived differently. It's led to a lot of questions.]
I was a foundling.
