To her left is her familiar, Amelia the moon rabbit, casually nibbling on some carrots. There's also wooden stand holding up a large stack of papers, meant to be folded back.]

I've been here for some time now - I haven't kept exact track because that would remind me how long I've been away from my family, again, and that's a can of worms we do not want opened - and as much as I've enjoyed learning about all the different worlds out there, I've also discovered something absolutely APPALLING! So many of your worlds... do not know the majesty that is... PLANES!

[ She rips off the first piece of paper, showing a detailed while still rather cartoony rendition of a plane - to be more specific, the Sunchaser... Er, CloudSlayer. ]

Behold! This is merely one - granted, one of the best - example of the most wonderful machines to have ever been invented for the purpose of transportation! Simply out, it can take you from one place to the other by traveling in the sky! Soaring through the clouds, weaving around mountains, defying the very wind itself!

And, sure, just being a passenger is thrilling itself, but truly nothing beats the experience of taking the flight controls in your hand, running your fingers over instrument panels, and entering your destiny in the sky! Which leads me to my most important point yet!

I wanna build one. FOR ALL OF YOU. A good chunk for me, but MOSTLY FOR ALL OF YOU. Because it's cruel that so many of you don't know this experience! Now, the problem is, while I've fixed planes before... I've never actually built one from scratch. I usually left that to my uncle Scrooge... who left it to his engineers... and, um, he's also the richest duck in the world, so as you can imagine, some steps in my knowledge have been skipped.

Now, I'm not expecting anyone to just hand over money and supplies willy-nilly. Which brings me to my final point!

Honestly, I usually spend most of December building traps for Santa Claus, but since that's no longer an issue for me, I've got tons of free time, so... let's take that first step making planes together!

....Right. [ Considering Tails is already an ace pilot at the age of eight, Amy doubts there could be anything more that Della could teach him. But it's possible...and there was no way she would tell Della that. ]

Anyway, I'm not sure I'll be able to help all that much with the funds and all, but let me know if there's anything else I can do.

Well, um...I don't have anything going on right now. But I might be building or moving into a house in the future, so I can call you up then for some help.

[ She also needs to figure out if she has to build the house herself or if there will be one waiting for her. ]

... Wait, aren't you and Shadow the Nudist from the same world? Why aren't you two bunking?

[ She bites back a snicker. ] Oh yeah, well...we are from the same world, but Shadow... [ How to say this nicely? ] He usually does his own thing. We are technically rooming together right now, but only because I just recently found out he'd given up his room at the inn when all the refugees came and was camping out in the snow. And even convincing him to stay with me for just the winter took a while. But even then, I see him more at the training grounds than I do in the apartment.

[ She pauses a moment as she seems to be thinking something over. ]

...But! If I tell you something, you promise to keep it a secret?

[ Della raises her eyebrows, and moves to immediately 'boink' this conversation to private settings. She then raises her hand. ]

Senior Junior Woodchuck promise, I'll never tell a soul.

[ She's grateful that Della puts up the private filter, because she was about to that herself. Even so, she drops her voice to that type of conspiratorial whisper that's not actually a whisper. ]

Okay. So...when I get my new house, I'm gonna set up an extra room just for Shadow.

[ Which...probably isn't really a big deal, but she's doing it anyway dang it. ]

[ That gets a big long 'Dawwwww' about of Della. ]

That's so sweet of you! You're such a good friend! ... Of course, if you ever tell him that, he's gunna refuse to use it.

So you just gotta tell him it's a guest room, not his room.

Aww thanks! And yes exactly. The tough part will be getting him to...y'know, actually use it.

Yeah, he's a stubborn guy. He might only use it at first after the dummy's been hurt.

[ She snorts a little. ] And even then, it'd take some convincing.

Like, he'd literally made a post on the network about being stuck in the snow, and I still had a hard time trying to convince him to stay in my apartment.

Hm... have you tried bribing him with food?

He doesn't really eat much. And the only thing I know for sure that he likes are coffee beans.

[ That sure is a thing. ]

... Uh, do you mean drinking coffee?

[ surely amy doesn't just means BEANS. even big eater della has her limits. ]

Nope. He just eats the beans straight.

Huh. Gross!

[ But said more as a fact than of actually being disgusted. ]

... But maybe you can keep a bag of some fancy, imported coffee beans for him to snack on!

Maybe. The cafe I work has been pretty nice about letting me buy coffee beans, so I at least have a place to get them from.

I've also tried looking up recipes that might use whole coffee beans. There aren't a lot [ big surprise ] but I did find a cookie recipe that used them, and he seemed to like those.

Huh! Maybe I can find out more recipes from my own baking teach'. If I find out any, I'll pass 'em along!
