I'm afraid I must be brief.

Feral Hawk is no longer in Avalon.

To his friends, his employee Master Gokudera, I am truly sorry.

Thank you for your time.

It is as a knight should, I think, more than simply being kind.

When Chris arrives home that night, Rinea is waiting for her. She is usually waiting for the other woman, granted; but this time she is already sitting on the sofa, tea cart beside the armrest, sympathetic expression on her face. What a painful experience it must be, to lose her loved one so suddenly. Hawk with all his bluntness had made Chris open up in a way she may have never managed, and to leave just as bluntly surely tears at her heart despite the brusque nature of her network missive.

"My poor darling." Rinea opens her arms, ready to receive her bereaved roommate. "I am so sorry."

Poor, sweet Chris. Rinea holds her as tightly as she can. Even through all of the stress of the various calamities striking Avalon, never has she seen her poor friend this destitute. So it is with personal tragedy, perhaps; it strikes at the soul.

"I know," she murmurs. "Cry as long as you must, my dear. I am right here."

And stay right there she shall. After that declaration she will sit there with Chris in comforting silence, carding fingers through her silver hair. Rinea cannot heal the gaping wound, but she can hold her through it until Chris gains enough breath to speak.
