[There may be no account attached to the feed, but the boy on the screen might be familiar to a few people by this point. He's currently seated outside, on the balcony of his house, clad in a black wool pea coat. Store-bought, by the looks of the thread and fit, but serviceable. A black silk tie and a store-bought shirt lie, neatly lie beneath, shirt buttoned all the way and tie expertly tied in a half-Windsor knot.]
My apologies for making a public announcement for this, but I am currently in need of a tailor. I need a set of clothes replaced with something to similar specifications. The originals are showing their wear. There are also a few other clothing sets I would like. Things to suit for formal occasions, should the need arise to attend one.
But, before anything else, I have a friend. He and his... acquaintance... are accustomed to the desert, and are both woefully, dreadfully, unacceptably ill-clothed for the winter. With the weather as it is, this must be fixed right away, but I would like to find something that isn't too stifling for them, unaccustomed to heavy clothing as they are.
If there are any capable of producing garments to suit these different needs, I would very much like to obtain their contact information.
The sooner, the better.

The help would be most appreciated, mademoiselle.
Are you feeling better?

I'm quite busy at the moment but can find some time to sew. Just let me know he sizes and any design requests.

[Not having to worry about quickly growing out of something is a plus. Alas, his technical age is itself a downside in this environment. There are places to go and things to do that adults may do, and not children, but he has yet to discover anything of the sort for the other way around.
This coupled with his advanced mental maturity leaves him feeling rather bitter at times.]

[The first weekend of December is a mere two weeks away.]
I may end up having to buy something premade for that, but that would remove any time constraints for anything you made for me personally.
[Though, what to do about Horus...? The god was so intent on attending that little ball. Will they be able to find something he likes without risking him freezing to death?]
no subject
Especially if you'll only be using it on occasion.
no subject
[Even without his social isolation back home, he rather doubts wartime rationing would allow for such extravagance.]
What do you suppose someone wears to a holiday masquerade? Aside from a mask, that is.
[He can guess that just from the name.]
no subject
[Said so freakin' plainly.]
Really whatever you want. Casual, business, or as fancy as you'd like! The point of the masque is always to have fun and mingle among others that you normally wouldn't. Whether you know them or not.
no subject
Mingling is something I've never been terribly good at.
no subject
That's fine as well! Everyone is wearing a mask after all. All identities are anonymous. So, whether you're used to mingling or not you can still relax.
You'll never take him alive...!!
[He turns everything into work. He's already turning this function into work, arranging for this and that to fall into place. All part of greater plans, thought up entirely on the moment, to solicit contributions and ensure his friend has a good time at his first 'adult' function.
There is one more thing on his mind, too. But he'll not be mentioning it here.]
Resistance is futile~!
[Questions abound! Tell her ALL your deep, dark, secret plans!]

Perhaps I shall do so tonight.
[Premade clothes shopping can be done in the morning, when there is ample daylight to measure the look of things.]
no subject
Oh, and remember to bring me those measurements on whatever you want to be worked on.

[The night owl life. Late afternoon is basically the start of his day.]
I will be there.

Have a good one, mademoiselle. I will see you tomorrow.
[ not video because you live in the same house ]
He stepped out onto the balcony with tea in his hands. He holds out one cup to Walter.]
I'm not very useful at making the sort of clothes you wear, I'm afraid.
[Gloves were one thing and he had made Walter a pair but gloves are similar wherever you go, but a suit and a robe are entirely different.]
As for your friends, perhaps something made from silk would be ideal. It's light and warm. Still, it's not resistant to water so we would still need to find some way to use magic to keep it dry.
no subject
[Walter reaches to accept the cup, cradling it between his gloved hands. Though not visible in the feed earlier, Walter is wearing the very ones his friend made. He wears them quite often, preferring them for use in everyday tasks not involving sparring, training, or combat.]
Perhaps the discipline of alchemy might afford some means of help?
[Maybe someone has a waterproofing potion somewhere... It's worth looking into.]
no subject
Perhaps. [He holds his own cup between his hands, looking thoughtful.] Alchemy is quite useful. Though if not, I suppose I could make the outside from a material that is more water resistant. I assume this friend is Horus?
no subject
[Punctuating the statement with a sigh, he raises the cup to his lips.]
I worry about what the weather will be like in two weeks.
[The masquerade feels like it's just around the corner now.]
no subject
It's no surprise if he's unused to the cold weather.
[Or just unused to being mortal.]
Possibly it will get worse, though hopefully we can avoid anything close to a blizzard.
no subject
Hopefully.
[A little furrow forms between his brows, the boy bottling up his emotions on the matter.]
Speaking of making things, have you done anything with your share of the labradorite yet? It occurred to me that I might know someone who can turn it into something even more valuable.
no subject
I'll see about getting the materials soon.
[It shouldn't be hard. It could be faster if he found an alchemist.]
I haven't yet, but I'm in favour of anything that could increase our profit margin.
[And also make the a bit of the labradorite into something he could wear. For blood magic reasons.]
no subject
[Lips warmed by the heat rising from his tea, Walter pauses to drink.
It's good.]
no subject
[Though he did know the owner...not that he realizes at the moment.]
If you trust him then that's good enough.

[Food, supplies... He imagines there's been a rush on blankets and premade warm clothes, but it wouldn't hurt to have a look for them.]

[Maybe even buy a few extra, if he does come across them. Especially if they don't make clothes difficult to launder.]

She must lead an interesting life.]
Oh? Will you be attending as well?
no subject
[It's good to know people's names and faces, after all. One never knows when they might face a major crisis that requires many people to work together again.]
no subject
[Even thinking about it has him a little sore over it again.]
no subject
[She pauses, thinking for a moment.]
It might be fun to organize something that's open to people under sixteen for after nine.
[Admittedly, she's far from an expert on such things, but she doesn't like the idea of so many people being excluded from the festivities after nine simply because of their age.]
no subject
[To put it politely. He was considerably more blunt when Horus asked. This girl seems young, so he'll spare her the lurid details.]
Arranging for those under sixteen to break off into another group seems possible. They could do something outdoors, weather permitting. They would just need to be back inside by two in the morning to avoid getting on the bad side of the faerie.
no subject
[Coming from a clan where many people, including herself, are capable of seeing through walls by doing nothing more than willing a bit of energy to the eyes, she's gotten The Talk very early. Walter doesn't need to explain anything further.]
I was thinking it could wrap up around midnight or so, and people sixteen and over would be welcome to attend.
no subject
Oh? That's generous of you.
[He would not have blamed any of the children in the slightest for wanting to give the adults a taste of their own exclusionary medicine
given how sore he is over the treatment as well. Yet if this girl has it in her mind to be the better woman, he isn't going to stop her.]So, what shall the activities be? Ice skating? We can probably get an elemental magic user to make an area for it.
no subject
[In fact, she can quite easily envision Sakura rather forcefully dealing with anyone attempting to get amorous with her.]
Elemental is my primary magic type. I could make it. I don't know how to skate, though. I come from a warm country where it rarely snows.
no subject
[He falls silent, pondering a moment.]
...Though, speaking of snow, if there's still enough, a snowball fight or a little friendly building competition with the stuff might be entertaining.
