(This post is made purely for the sake of curiosity. And to distract herself and others from feeling ill.)

How many worlds do you think exist? Infinite? What about galaxies?

(Her Peko-Peko makes a soft sound, wings fluttering as she lands by Padmé for a treat.)

I accepted that other galaxies existed before I came to Avalon. I never considered a number, however, or how different they might be from the one I knew.

My home world is called Naboo. I've heard a little about Earth, but are there other planets that you call home?

It's hard to grasp, but I really do think there are an infinite number of worlds out there. It's the only conclusion I can come to after learning that there are multiple versions of history of my own world after arriving here. Though...I'm afraid I don't know what a galaxy is.

Prior to coming here, I only knew Fódlan. But it isn't the entire world -- merely a single continent. Other lands exist, but the people of Fódlan know little about them. We've always concerned ourselves more with internal affairs rather than exploration and trade from outside.

[There's a hint of regret in his voice. Not that he's responsible for the state of affairs, but that he considers his homeland's insularity to be a missed opportunity.]

A galaxy is thousands or millions or billions of stars drawn together by a gravitational pull. The galaxy that I call home is composed of four hundred billion stars. Within those stars, there are planets that are habitable and each one has races or species that are particular to it.

I wanted to venture out further; there are so many planets and stars I will never see.

[Millions? Billions? Dimitri's eye widens. He doesn't think there are even that many stars visible in the night sky, either here in Avalon, or back home in Fódlan. He does, however, remember from his school days that astronomers believe there are stars invisible to the naked eye, either because they're too far away or they're too close to a brighter star.]

From the sound of it, both of our worlds have so much to see that no person could ever see it all in their lifetimes.

(One can only see so many stars from a planet. Imagine viewing them from outer space! That's where you see the full scope of their awesome number.)

Mm that's true. But I thought I would have decades longer to try.
