Humans are... self-focused. It makes sense that it's the only way they can see it. It's hard for humanity to see things outside of themselves.

If I were you, I'd try not to take it personally. Humanity wouldn't have any idea how to handle gods or how to talk with them without being a little judgemental. It isn't you. It's them.
