[ Cloud, for the most part, kept a low profile when it came to the happenings of this world. That didn't mean he never checked his device, checking in on the network and taking up quests here and there. But posting online himself? Not since his time spent in another world that he had a business to run did he really put enough effort into putting himself out there.
So. What's the otherwise reserved Cloud doing out here? ]
Hey...
[ ... why does his voice sound a bit nasally? An audible sniffle follows. ]
I'm just— [ His breath clips before his voice sounds like it's growing fainter from the microphone. ] S'cuse me...aahhh- aaaah...
[ ... ]
A-CHOO—!
[ THUNDER BOOM. ⚡ The sound of something glasslike/porcelain breaking accompanies it. ]
Shit!
[ There's some scrambling, putting down his device, picking it back up, a cough before he hits the mute button. After a couple awkward moments of silence, the mic's back on and the stuffed-up blond asks calmly, ]
Anyone know a good magic doctor? [ A beat. ] ...and where to buy sinks? Thanks.
[ When the Magical Flu hits an elemental caster, no bathroom sink is safe apparently. ]

[ How could she have missed her? Memories start rushing back of how wonderful the sweet lass was. But at his question, she nods. ]
Aye, Jakurai and Hifumi arrived with me. My boyfriend and his crewmate... others who I knew there were here, but not with the same memories.
[ Her expression falters, frowning. ]
I'd been in a world before Lunatia, too. Not mine own. Met some people there, and they ended up here, too. It's been a bit of a mess, actually. Do you remember Kaelas, the Warrior of Light?
no subject
[ And yet...
Worlds before Lunatia... It sounds like the time Ann told him about meeting a different version of him in a different world too. Yet he didn't harbor those same memories. Traversing through the multiverse and handling different versions of yourself... It's a headache he doesn't want to tackle right now. Especially when he's nursing one to begin with. When she mentions another familiar name? Despite his fatigued expression, his eyes light up a little in reminisce. ]
Oh yeah. I met him undercover- on my first mission to Lightless. Helluva fighter.
no subject
[ Yes, multiple. She looks thoughtful. ]
Anyroad, Kaelas knew these people in his own adventures as the Warrior of Light. I met them as myself... definitely wouldn't have met them otherwise. Suppose it goes to show how small a world can seem, aye?
[ That's probably a lot of thinking for someone unwell, but. ]
Don't have anyone you don't want here, do you?

It's an unexpectedly nice surprise for him, getting to catch up like this. He wouldn't admit it so openly, still longing both to return home and to find a way back to Weiss in Remnant, but he would never forget Prismatica either. With people like Megumi among so many others in it, it'd be hard to. ]
...
Just one. But without our own powers, he shouldn't be a serious issue.
no subject
[ And she'll just private the convo from here. ]
« private »
Save one. Apparently, this man... nay, this being and his brethren, was the source of the calamities that befell mine own star. I got to know him in the world before Lunatia, and a bit on Lunatia with different memories...
He established the very empire that has brought harm to our people. And one of his generals... a former legatus is here, too, though not allied with him anymore. He seems to have turned a new leaf, but this legatus was known far and wide even as I was growing up, as a horrifying man. But at least he is a human.
The other isn't. It's been difficult dealing with how he thinks of the people of mine own world. Is yours as bad?

Yet if he can count on her to have his back... Cloud will keep his eye on her own enemies too. It's only fair. Still, discussing that man always left a bitter taste in his mouth; all the time he'd spent with the former general back in Lunatia... There's a bit of morose to their tale now. Yet here he was, back to square one with a man steeped in madness- biding his time. Cloud's vocal registry lowers some, in a bid to try and avoid sounding nasally as he stares back into the camera and answers her. ]
Sephiroth. I'll give you the long story another day. The short version is that he's responsible for almost destroying my planet twice. Took everything I had to stop him.
Now he seems more interested in messing with my head than anything.
[ While Sephiroth couldn't just go around willy nilly killing everyone, that is. ]
no subject
[ Or was it "Sephirot"? She knows the Cloud one is one of the most expensive ones at the Gold Saucer. And the story of the man who ran Strife Delivery Service across the planet isn't unknown, either. Rare, but present.
Still, she listens. ]
Sounds like a mess all the same. Sorry you have to deal with that. Is he the one bothering you on the network, up there?
no subject
[ Between hearing he's been in Duplicity, a familiar face to Roxas despite never meeting him, and crossing at least three worlds by now? Cloud shouldn't be surprised any more. It's a throwaway question at best as she lends her ear to him and his own predicament. ]
Sorry right back. [ As for her last question? That gets him rubbing his temple, brow furrowed before answering lowly yet clearly, ] It's about all he can do right now.
[ And it sucks.
"Is this man bothering you, milady?"]no subject
[ Poor Cloudywolf. She sympathizes at least. ]
At least mine isn't a bother, himself... just a mass destroyer of worlds, and now he's here and angry all the time. Even got jailed recently for murdering some wicked folk...
I thought we were friends, but he injured me too, when I tried to stop him.
[ A sigh. ]
It's a bit complicated. Just don't talk heroics around him and you ought be fine. And I suppose I'll avoid this Sephiroth...
no subject
Boy if you only knew.]Guess that's one way for you to remember me by.
[ His expression sobers some more though when she makes mention of her own adversary. Decimating worlds... But it's moments like this, wherein their greatest foes have their equally great powers stripped of them, that he can sigh as well. But...mostly in relief. He doesn't even need to say anything about her avoiding Sephiroth. It's for the best... Yet again, however, as he quietly listens, his shoulders give a visible shake of amusement.
"Just don't talk heroics around him and you ought be fine." ]
Am I really wont for that?
no subject
[ She chuckles, giving him a fond look. She's met so many special and important people in her travels, even as someone who just- lives, in a world as marvelous as hers, while she's just- herself. A tribal matriarch and mother.
And being taken to these other worlds is far beyond what she'd ever expect or even dream beyond stories. It's a lot at times, but she's nothing if not resilient about it. She hopes Cloud doesn't have to deal with too much, just like she'd wish for her own Warrior of Light. ]
I don't really know... you might want to show off a bit. Because you're a hero and all, aren't you?
[ Teasing. ]
no subject
Yeah... I guess I am.
[ Cloud may not go into the streets proclaiming his heroics, but between what he's accomplished with everyone back home, and the obstacles he's faced on Prismatica? There's a good chance "hero" is something he'll be remembered for. He just wants to fight to protect what he cherishes. But he doubts that needs to be said again. ]
Let's catch up when I don't feel— [ and sound ] —like a mess.
no subject
[ Her gaze is soft, warm towards him. ]
Let me know where I can deliver this medication too, aye? I'll bring you some for you and treats for Weiss.
no subject
She'll like that. Thank you.
not here!
