Good day, Otherworlders. Merlin here and I decided to do an AMA because I'm currently stuck indoors, sick with this magical flu. You don't want me to go around sneezing on people, so I have to stay at home.

... though you should have seen the donkey ears I accidentally and temporarily grew on Arthur!

oh but for a real question: is there a way to command my familiar or is this just some free will thing?

Don't let your familiar hear you're trying to overwrite their free will. Ouch.

You can always try bribing them, but no. Familiars don't view you as their masters after all.

However they shouldn't be trying to cause you harm or too much trouble. You are bonded, after all.

she doesn't care. she just laughs whenever i tell her things.

she's just really annoying. but if she is destroying my sketchbooks then can i say that's too much trouble and return her? i know that she brought me here but she's pretty useless as far as familiars go.

If you "returned" her you would be send outside Avalon and frozen back in time until another familiar makes a contract with you - if you're lucky enough.

I would try to find a solution to live in semi-harmony.
