What is this?

[He holds up, for all the world to see, a pamphlet for an upcoming Halloween party. It detailed the time, place and what was available. Including the picture of a pumpkin and a little map inside of it. And Takkar... just looks at it in confusion.]

I don't know what symbol means.

[He points to the letterings on the pamphlet. He wants to know what they mean, he really does! But... it's quite clear he doesn't know how to read. Help your ancestor out?]

[What symbol? The map? Nope, he seems to be pointing at the letters... Oh!! It doesn't take Katara long to realize what he means considering one of her best friends is blind and they have run into all kinds of situations with that too. Well at least he can see it...]

Oh, that's a pamphlet about a Halloween party! First there is the time when it happens, then it tells the place and there is also a list of at least some of the things, that you can see and hear in the party.

And the little pumpkin there has a map drawn into it for easier time to find its location.

Map... ah, the direction picture.

[Hey at least he knows what a map is. Sort of, his own version of mapping out an environment differs quite a bit from... well an actual map. Still he goes back to looking over the pamphlet with a frown. All the words swam together and didn't make a lick of sense or meaning for him. Try as he might, having only just arrived the written word is beyond his grasp.

There's a little blurb on it that mentions costumes required, including that snacks and drinks are free and such.]

A party... celebration? [Well they are nearing a solstice and change in seasons, so that much makes sense. It all clicked and his hairy head nodded, the tongue trees, those weird pictures... it all made sense!] Is that why people are acting strange?
