Maybe it belong to someone who’s into lucky charms and statues and cats apparently. I don’t usually see these things a lot back in my world.

You'd be surprised how many people believe in lucky charms. In Japan, you can visit a shrine and buy them for whatever you need- to do good on tests, for luck in love, for safe travels and so on. Lucky cats like this one are usually in shops, to "defend from thieves" I think.

Well, that is true since everyone and every country have their own set of superstitions and lucky items. I am really learning a lot of things about lucky charms today, Kise.

So that’s what those lucky cat statues are for: to protect stores from thievery. That is really brilliant.

I didn't dabble in lucky items much until recently (think like a year ago). We had back in Japan also Oha Asa, a pretty good horoscope channel. A lot of people followed it

YEAH! There are also ones that "call money in", protect from "evil spirits" and so on. I dunno IF they work but it's still nice to have them around. They are cute :3

Usually gold or silver is offered up to mythical creatures or spirits guarding some place or thing. I wouldn't take that, and just leave it where you found it. Just because you cannot see or contact the owner, that doesn't mean they'll like if you take it.

The owner probably has a giant fist that grants bad luck if you take their E.L. cat.

Maybe it keeps them balanced and a cat like that would just bring the worst luck...

Uh-huh. And if I leave it here, someone else will just take it and sell it. [He's not gonna imply HIM but, if the shoe fits. Midorima 100% won't sell this though because it's luck item so there's a bit comfort in that, he's never been materialistic.] And it's not like it's melted pure gold! I think it's mostly metal and stuff like that with this gold-looking cover.

Lucky cats can't bring bad luck. They won't be lucky cats then.

Then that's someone else's bad luck. If they sold it, it'd be bad luck on anyone who buys it from them.

That's no normal lucky cat. I'm just saying that while it may not bring bad luck, the owner can. Doesn't have to be directly from the cat, but due to it being taken from it's home.
