I've been helping people clean up the streets and fallen buildings
I found this
[He uploads a picture of the... statuette? Of the thing he found.]

1. Type E.L. in chat for Extreme Luck
2. Does this belong to anyone? It looks fucking expensive. It doesn't even have a scratch on it and I just pulled it out from a bunch of debris

Bring it home. In this case, "finders keepers" is understandable.

I can't just bring this over! It looks like it has golden pieces on it!
[Midorima loses moral compass when it comes to luck...]

It can stay at our place until its owner claims it.

it's heavy. Do they always make these things heavy? I remember you had tanuki statue like this before

Looks like someone didn't skip arm day. Even if it's just one arm.

Maybe it belong to someone who’s into lucky charms and statues and cats apparently. I don’t usually see these things a lot back in my world.

You'd be surprised how many people believe in lucky charms. In Japan, you can visit a shrine and buy them for whatever you need- to do good on tests, for luck in love, for safe travels and so on. Lucky cats like this one are usually in shops, to "defend from thieves" I think.
[And it's a big lucky item which is why his boyfriend is into it.........]

So that’s what those lucky cat statues are for: to protect stores from thievery. That is really brilliant.

[And Kise sometimes]
YEAH! There are also ones that "call money in", protect from "evil spirits" and so on. I dunno IF they work but it's still nice to have them around. They are cute :3

The cat has really big
eyes.
What if fist-bumping it boosts your luck?
no subject
Oh trust me
Midorimacchi is going to test that out without a doubt
(if no one else comes to collect this)
no subject
You can also suggest licking its other paw, that's gonna boost anybody's luck for sure.
[ For sure... ]
no subject
considering where it's been, I doubt anyone would dare to lick it
[Especially not Midorima...]

The owner probably has a giant fist that grants bad luck if you take their E.L. cat.
Maybe it keeps them balanced and a cat like that would just bring the worst luck...
no subject
Lucky cats can't bring bad luck. They won't be lucky cats then.
no subject
That's no normal lucky cat. I'm just saying that while it may not bring bad luck, the owner can. Doesn't have to be directly from the cat, but due to it being taken from it's home.
